Where to Get Brunch in Marco Island This Weekend

Check out our top spots for breakfast and brunch food around the city.

Way down in Southwest Florida is a little city called Marco Island that is so beautiful, you almost can’t believe your eyes the first time you see the crystal-clear waters and pristine sugar sand beaches.

It’s almost like a little slice of the Bahamas that someone picked up and placed gently onto the Gulf of Mexico’s coastline.

While many people, visitors and residents alike, may view the main attractions to Marco Island as the beaches and fishing, the real attraction, if you ask me, is the restaurant scene, particularly where weekend brunch is concerned.

If you’re like me and you absolutely love Sunday brunch, then you’re going to want to keep reading.

I’ve gone around Marco Island and sought out the best brunch spots in town so that I could rank them all right here on this list.

Doreen’s Cup of Joe

267 N Collier Blvd, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-394-2600
Visit Website

Doreen’s Cup of Joe takes first place on my list and for very good reasons. Ask any Marco Island local where to grab a delicious breakfast or brunch and it won’t be long until you find someone that mentions Doreen’s.

There’s no better way to start your day down here in Marco Island, Florida than with some scrumptious fried chicken and waffles, but that’s just one of the amazing brunch foods you’ll find on the enormous menu here.

Doreen’s Cup of Joe takes pride in serving locally-sourced ingredients, so you know you’re getting the freshest food possible.

Red Rooster

1821 San Marco Rd, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-394-3100
Visit Website

This next brunch spot, Red Rooster, is located inside the Shops of Marco shopping mall off of San Marco Road in the same plaza as the Publix Super Market.

I really enjoy the brunch foods here because they serve all the traditional favorites like pancakes and French Toast, but you can also get one of their specialty omelets or a jumbo skillet if you’re more into savory breakfast foods like I am.

The best part about Red Rooster is that their breakfast menu is served all day long, so you can come get brunch literally any time of day as long as they’re open.

Hoot’s Breakfast & Lunch

563 E Elkcam Cir, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-394-4644
Visit Website

Hoot’s Breakfast & Lunch is the next place I want to mention and I really think you’re going to love this place just as much as I do if you’re into classic breakfast foods in the middle of the day.

I always go for the build-your-own omelette when I come here, but they offer so many other tasty options that it gets hard to choose sometimes.

Other great choices include the biscuits and gravy, but they also have a section of the menu for healthier choices for anyone who’s trying to watch what they eat or just be a bit more health-conscious in general.

STONEWALLS

551 S Collier Blvd, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-389-1995
Visit Website

Up next, we have STONEWALLS. This is a unique restaurant that you can find near some of my favorite places to stay in Marco Island like the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa and the Marco Beach Ocean Resort.

If you’re staying nearby in the area, definitely stop by STONEWALLS for an amazing brunch experience.

They offer different breakfast specials here all the time, so be sure to come back often to see what’s new.

Some of the tried-and-true menu options that I recommend, however, are the breakfast burrito and the islander breakfast.

Empire Bagel Factory

239 N Collier Blvd, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-642-4141
Visit Website

Right off of North Collier Boulevard is Empire Bagel Factory. This place is a must-visit for a delicious brunch experience in Marco Island, especially if you love fresh bagels and delectable varieties of cream cheese to top them with.

They have all sorts of bagel varieties to choose from, each one more scrumptious than the last.

I usually grab the jalapeno cheddar bagel, although they have amazing breakfast sandwiches that they make with their bagels that’s even more of a hearty breakfast.

I recommend the bacon delight or the steak, egg, and cheese sandwich, but really they’re all tasty.

Mango’s Dockside Bistro

760 N Collier Blvd # 109, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-393-2433
Visit Website

Mango’s Dockside Bistro is up next and if you’re looking for an unforgettable brunch experience by the water, then this is it.

When you come to Mango’s, you have the option to sit outdoors under a covered table where you can look out over Smokehouse Bay and watch all the boats pass by back and forth.

I love Mango’s Dockside brunch menu because they have what they call Marco Island’s best Bloody Mary, and I can’t really disagree.

If you don’t like bloody Marys but still want to have a bit of a boozy brunch, I recommend a mango mimosa.

IslaMarrota – Home Of Mr. Crab Cake

2 Marco Lake Dr #1, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-970-0812
Visit Website

This next restaurant is called IslaMarrota and they’re another one of the best brunch spots Marco Island has to offer.

Coming to IslaMarrota is the absolute perfect start to any day, especially when you go for their decadent Monte Cristo sandwich. It’s one of the only places in town that even offers this on their menu, so I can never pass on it.

Check out IslaMarrota off of Marco Lake Drive, not far south of Marco Town Center shopping mall. They serve their breakfast menu all day long, though, so brunch is available whenever you want!

Rookery Grill

400 S Collier Blvd, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-389-6600

Right inside the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort off of South Collier Boulevard is a brunch spot called Rookery Grill that you seriously do not want to pass up on, even if you’re not staying in the resort.

Rookery Grill is even more convenient than some of these other places because it’s within walking distance to the Marco Island Public Beach Access, so if you get hungry in the middle of a day at the beach, you can simply walk over to Rookery and grab yourself some delicious brunch foods and maybe even a few cocktails to cool off.

Sami’s

227 N Collier Blvd, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-389-7499
Visit Website

For a pizzeria, Sami’s has a surprisingly incredible breakfast menu that makes this place one of my favorite brunch spots in town.

Breakfast is served here at Sami’s from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, so you’ve got plenty of time to get a delicious midday meal here, complete with some of their gourmet coffee or even a mimosa.

I usually go for the huevos rancheros or some pancakes if I’m in a sweeter mood, but the menu is huge and there’s really something for everyone, so take your time and sip on a mimosa while you make up your mind!

Sand Bar

826 E Elkcam Cir, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-642-3625
Visit Website

Right off of East Elkcam Circle is another one of Marco Island’s must-visit brunch spots called Sand Bar. This place is open early around 7 AM, so you can head in for breakfast at that time, but they are also open until 2 AM, so there’s no rush.

Starting your day with brunch at Sand Bar is starting your day the right way if you ask me. I always go for one of their build-your-own-omelettes because that way I get everything I want and nothing I don’t in my omelette.

Don’t forget a cocktail or a mimosa to go with your brunch here at Sand Bar.

Smith House

210 Royal Palm Dr, Marco Island, FL 34145
Phone: 239-389-8414
Visit Website

Lastly, I want to mention Smith House over off of Royal Palm Drive near The Boat House Motel and the historic Olde Marco Island Inn & Suites.

You can’t beat brunch at Smith House when you’re in Marco Island, so be sure to give it a try when you’re in the area.

I always have to recommend the shrimp and grits for brunch from Smith House, but the menu has all sorts of other brunch classics that are worth a look, such as eggs Benedict. You can never really go wrong with a good Benedict for brunch.

Final Thoughts

Marco Island is every bit the tropical paradise that you might expect, but when you factor in the fantastic brunch scene around the city, it somehow gets even better.

In my opinion, there’s no better weekend activity than grabbing some friends and family and heading to one of these amazing Marco Island brunch restaurants.

If these Marco Island brunch spots don’t suit you, you should check out these other amazing places to eat for any meal of the day!
