Bradenton Brunch Spots to Try Out This Weekend

Our favorite spots around the city to grab eggs benedict, mimosas, and more.

Bradenton is a small city south of Tampa that sits on the Manatee River and it’s home to some of the most pristine beaches, crystal-clear waterways, and luxurious shopping malls in all of Florida.

Those are just a few of the attractions this city offers, though. In my opinion, the real treat that you can find around town is the weekend brunch scene.

Brunch is everyone’s favorite midday meal, it’s like lunch and breakfast but way more fun than lunch and you don’t have to worry about getting up early for it like breakfast. Brunch is truly the best of both worlds, plus there’s alcohol, so how can you beat it?

When you’re in Bradenton and you’re looking for brunch, there are tons of options, but if you really want to know who has the best brunch in the city, then I can help with that.

PIER 22 Restaurant, Patio & Catering

1200 1st Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205

PIER 22 Restaurant, Patio & Catering is up first and they definitely earned this spot if you ask me. PIER 22 is a waterside seafood spot that overlooks the Manatee River, situated on 1st Avenue West near the popular Riverwalk.

What I love about coming to this place for brunch is that mimosas and bloody Marys are only $4. Now that’s a deal worth waking up for!

When it comes to the food, brunch is served from 11 am to 3 pm and the menu has everything you could ever want. I always go for beignets or a steak omelet.

Mattison’s Riverwalk Grille Bradenton

101 Riverfront Blvd Ste 120, Bradenton, FL 34205
Phone: 941-896-9660
Visit Website

Next up on my list is Mattison’s Riverwalk Grille. This place is a must-try for anyone in the area interested in a delicious brunch experience while they’re here.

I love Mattison’s mainly because they offer such an incredible brunch menu, complete with bottomless mimosas for only $15!

Check out Mattison’s Riverwalk Grille near Riverwalk Splash Park and the Bradenton Skatepark.

There are tons of fun activities to do in the area, just one more reason to Love Mattison’s Riverwalk Grille. Come here for brunch on the weekends from 11 am to 3 pm.

O’bricks Irish Pub & Martini Bar

427 12th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205
Phone: 941-896-8860
Visit Website

O’bricks Irish Pub & Martini Bar is another one of my favorite brunch spots in the area because everything on their menu is just so delicious. You’ll want to come here just about every weekend for brunch, trust me.

Brunch is served only on Saturdays here at O’bricks, so plan accordingly. When you get here, I suggest trying the loaded tots or the steak and eggs. Either one of these brunch foods is guaranteed to please.

Check out O’bricks off of 12th Street South, just south of The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, perfect for some brunch after a day of learning some science.

Sage Biscuit Cafe

Another great place to get brunch in Bradenton is at Sage Biscuit Cafe. This place has a couple of convenient locations around town, including one downtown by the Manatee County Courthouse and one over off of Cortez Road. You’re never too far from Sage Biscuit Cafe!

I love to order the corned beef hash or the croissant egg sandwich when I come to Sage Biscuit Cafe, but those are only two of the amazing things you can eat here.

They have skillets, scrambles, and even a delicious tofu option for anyone that enjoys tofu for breakfast or brunch.

First Watch

If you’re in a city that has First Watch, then you’re off to a great start when you’re in the mood for brunch.

If your city doesn’t have a First Watch, then it might be time to think about relocating. I love coming to First Watch in Bradenton because they have locations literally all over town, making them one of the most convenient places to eat.

I always get the Trifecta breakfast with a massive blueberry pancake, some bacon, and two over-medium eggs.

Don’t forget to try their fresh-squeezed orange juice, either. It’s one of the many items they source locally.

Theresa’s Restaurant

711 Manatee Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34208
Phone: 941-747-7066
Visit Website

Up next is Theresa’s Restaurant located off of Manatee Avenue East near the Manatee Village Historical Park. Stopping here for brunch or breakfast is one of the most fun things to do in Bradenton, in my opinion.

Theresa’s Restaurants offers some pretty incredible breakfast sandwiches like a croissant or bagel with meat, eggs, and cheese, or a Western sandwich with eggs, peppers, onions, and ham.

Those are just some of my favorites though, there are many other delicious choices available for brunch here. Probably the nicest part about Theresa’s, if you ask me, is the bottomless coffee for only $2.25.

Blue jasper restaurant and catering

5718 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton, FL 34210
Phone: 941-896-4874
Visit Website

Right inside of the Cortez Commons shopping center off of Cortez Road is Blue jasper restaurant and catering.

This restaurant has amazing brunch, breakfast, and lunch options that anyone in town should take the time to visit.

My all-time favorite dish to get for brunch when I come to Blue Jasper is their shrimp and grits, but the fried chicken and waffles definitely come in at a very close second place.

Of course, if you want a sweeter option, be sure to try one of their delectable pancakes like the lemon ricotta pancakes or the chocolate chip and bacon pancakes.

Peach’s Restaurants – SR64 E

5240 FL-64, Bradenton, FL 34208
Phone: 941-747-6200
Visit Website

This next place is called Peach’s Restaurants. You can find Peach’s off of FL-64, right around the corner from the Tom Bennett Park & Playground Pavilion near the Walmart Supercenter and  Gettel Toyota of Lakewood.

I recommend coming here for either an omelette or some one of their eggs Benedicts. Peach’s Restaurant makes both of these dishes better than anyone in town, I think.

What’s great about Peach’s is that they even have a portion of the menu dedicated to some healthier options, so if you’re trying to watch what you eat, this place has just the thing.

Keke’s Breakfast Cafe

Keke’s is another place that you can always count on for a delicious brunch no matter what city you’re in, and their Bradenton locations are no exception.

The location I frequent the most is over off of University Parkway in The Square at UTC shopping mall.

What I usually go for when I come to Keke’s is a Belgian waffle, but you can’t go wrong with pretty much any of the breakfast and brunch classics that they serve here.

Whatever I end up ordering, I always make sure it comes with a side of their home fries because I just cannot get enough of those when I come here.

AJ’s Kitchen

3633 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton, FL 34210
Phone: 941-753-7094
Visit Website

Next up on my list is AJ’s Kitchen. This place offers some of the most delicious and comforting brunch foods that I’ve been able to find in Bradenton.

They’ve got literally everything on their massive menu, including biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, omelets, and so much more.

One of my favorite dishes to get for brunch when I come to AJ’s is their French toast platter.

With it, you get two thick, fluffy slices of golden brown French toast accompanied by 2 eggs and a choice of either sausage, bacon, or ham. This is the ultimate way to start your day.

Uncle Nick’s N.Y. Style Bagels, Subs & Deli

5917 Manatee Ave W #301, Bradenton, FL 34209
Phone: 941-567-4111
Visit Website

You’ll find this last place, Uncle Nick’s N.Y. Style Bagels, Subs & Deli, off of Manatee Avenue West near the Fountain Court Shopping Center and you won’t find a better New York-style bagel anywhere else in town.

Uncle Nick’s N.Y. Style Bagels, Subs & Deli has some unbeatable breakfast sandwiches that rival any bagel shop you might find in The Big Apple.

Bagels aren’t the only thing they do well, however. Uncle Nick’s N.Y. Style Bagels, Subs & Deli serves up delectable omelettes and a superb breakfast platter if those sound like they’re more up your alley.

Final Thoughts

Bradenton is a spectacular place in almost every way. From the beaches and shopping malls to the variety of brunch destinations that I’ve laid out before you, it’s no surprise why this little coastal slice of paradise has been booming in popularity.
