When it comes to celebrating special occasions or hosting intimate gatherings, finding the perfect dining venue can make all the difference. In Dallas, a city known for its vibrant culinary scene, there are several top-notch restaurants that offer private dining rooms and exceptional experiences. Whether planning a romantic dinner for two, a family celebration, or a corporate event, these establishments provide an ideal setting. From upscale steakhouses with elegant private chambers to contemporary eateries with stylish spaces, this article will guide you through the best private dining restaurants in Dallas, ensuring that your next event is delicious and unforgettable.
Number one on my list of best private dining rooms in Dallas is Ocean Prime, a well-known name across the country that never fails to impress. You can find them over near the International Center of Dallas, right up the road from The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection. Ocean Prime features 4 elegant private dining rooms for you to choose from. The first one is called The Club Room and it seats 16 guests. The second is The Pearl Room which accommodates 30. Third, we have The Rose Room for up to 36 guests, and the fourth is called The Magnolia Room, holding up to 40. No matter what your private event is, Ocean Prime can accommodate you. They even have video conference-equipped rooms for all your Zoom business meetings!
The Capital Grille
Just down the street from Ocean Prime is another one of Dallas’s best private dining rooms, The Capital Grille. This place is one of the nationwide classics that always make our lists, and for good reason. The Capital Grille will provide you with everything you could possibly need to make your event absolutely remarkable. You can customize the menu to your liking, enjoy complimentary valet parking, and even consult your own personal event coordinator to make sure it all goes off without a hitch. There are 2 different rooms to reserve here at The Capital Grille in Uptown Dallas. One of the options is The Board Room which seats 12, and the other is called The Wine Room which seats 46. Both rooms come with audio and visual technology for presentations or virtual meetings.
2332 Leonard St, Dallas, TX 75201
Next up is a place called Dragonfly. Dragonfly is a stylish, contemporary American restaurant that I think is one of the best places to host private dinners in Dallas. You can find them inside the ZaZa hotel, just south of the Whole Foods Market. You can rent out pretty much any room here at ZaZa. They have a massive dining room, a private dining room called The Dragon’s Den, Dragonfly’s Wine Room, or even book a poolside table and dine outdoors in that Texas fresh air. As far as food goes, you can choose from a variety of catering menus for your event, including breakfast menus, brunch menus, lunch buffets, and dinner, of course. Dragonfly can make any special event even better whether it’s an anniversary party, a graduation dinner, or any other occasion.
Jasper’s Uptown has got to be one of the best private dining event venues in Dallas that I’ve ever been to. One of the things I like most about private events at Jasper’s Uptown is that you will be accompanied every step of the way by their skilled private dining sales manager. The sales manager will make sure everything is to your liking so that you don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to! Jasper’s Uptown will rearrange their dining room to your exact specifications. They will leave no stone unturned to ensure that your event plays out flawlessly. They’ve even put together pre-selected with their most popular dishes that you and your guests are bound to love.
If you really want to impress your private dinner party guests, book your event at Table 13, one of the best private dining rooms in Dallas, Texas. This restaurant is a sophisticated fine-dining establishment that I would recommend everyone in Dallas try, especially if you’ve got a group dining event approaching. They have a secluded dining room called The Continental Room that seats up to 30 guests and it comes complete with audio/visual capabilities for any business meetings or corporate events. Table 13 will also fully customize a menu specifically for you and your group to accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences.
Next up, head over towards the Design District off of Market Center Boulevard where you’ll find a place called Town Hearth. They’re located right near the Haas Moto Museum & Sculpture Gallery, just down the street from the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament attraction. The private dining room here at Town Hearth is not something many people actually know about unless they’ve been there. It’s called The Elvis Room in tribute to the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. It’s a gorgeous room with plenty of space for up to 10 guests, decorated by glimmering chandeliers and red leather booths.
This next place, The Woolworth, is located smack-dab in the middle of the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dallas and The Joule hotels, right across the street from the famous Giant Eyeball sculpture on the corner of Elm Street and Stone Place. The entire locale here at The Woodworth is capable of comfortably seating 350 guests if you should need such a space. They have other options, however, for those smaller events as well. Choose between the elegant Library Room which seats 10-35 guests, the Dining Room which seats 40-60, the bar area for up to 40 guests, the intimate front area which seats up to 20, or the outdoor terrace which can hold 40 people.
For 43 years since they opened, St. Martins has been a Lower Greenville favorite that’s tucked away off the beaten path in the more suburban part of the city, less than a mile west of Tietze Park on Greenville Avenue. St. Martins is a French restaurant and one of the most popular romantic destinations in Dallas. They also feature 2 of the best private dining rooms in Dallas, if you ask me. These include The Concerto Room and The Baroque room, both suitable for even the poshest of special occasions.
Pyramid Restaurant & Lobby Bar
Pyramid Restaurant & Lobby Bar is a New American restaurant that has one of the best private event spaces in Dallas for your next big special occasion. They can comfortably accommodate 55 of your guests in their luxurious and inviting private dining room. The best part is the convenient Downtown Dallas location that your guests should have no trouble finding. It’s right inside the Fairmont Dallas Hotel, just walking distance from Klyde Warren Park and the Dallas Museum of Art.
Inside the Preston Forest Square shopping center is another phenomenal eatery called The Mercury, ready to host you and all of your guests in any of their elegant, secluded dining rooms. Got a massive crowd coming? You’ll want to book The Manhattan Room, capable of seating up to 100. Do you require an intimate setting for an important business meeting? That would be The Small Manhattan which features state-of-the-art A/V presentation technology. There is also The Wine Room where you can dine surrounded by hundreds of premium and vintage bottles waiting to be enjoyed. Chef Chris Ward and his team here at The Mercury are prepared to work tirelessly to give you whatever you need for a perfect event, including unique menu requests and facilitating wine tastings to accompany your meal.
Second Floor Regionally Inspired Kitchen
Wrapping up the list is Second Floor Regionally Inspired Kitchen located inside The Galleria Dallas shopping mall. This sharp, contemporary American restaurant is equipped with a gorgeous private dining room, Privé. Privé is capable of seating up to 60 guests for dinner or up to 83 guests if it’s a standing cocktail party. The massive refectory table, private bar, and relaxing fireplace all create an ambiance that will make you and your guests feel like royalty. They have an entire department dedicated to catering special events here at Second Floor, so you know that when you book yours it’s in very safe hands.
