Henry’s Majestic
2303 Pittman St, Dallas, TX 75208
469-893-9400
Visit Website
With staples like crispy bacon, buttermilk biscuits (which was one of my favorites), and avocado toast, Henry’s Majestic is one of Dallas’ top brunch spots – which means you can expect a bit of a wait during busier hours. On one of Dallas’ warm Autumn mornings, you may even be able to snag a seat on their large, wide-open patio. Just off of Highway 75 and near the historic Katy Trail, you can find Henry’s Majestic between Atwater Alley and Monticello Avenue. If you’re not interested in a little fresh air, you can always order online and pick up your brunch to go. They’ve even got plenty of cocktails to spruce up your morning, including a savory bloody mary that hits the spot. While you shouldn’t expect live music during brunch hours, you can always check out their website for details about bands and hours if you’re looking to listen to a live band while you dine.
Street’s Fine Chicken
3857 Cedar Springs Rd Dallas, TX 75219
(469) 917-7140
Visit Website
If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a little chicken with their waffle, you can’t miss Street’s Fine Chicken in Dallas. It’s on the corner of Cedar Springs Road and Reagan Street; you’re decently close to Turtle Creek Park, a fine place to go hike off some of the lunch you’re going to love. Unsurprisingly, their greatest hit is probably the classic chicken waffles, but you can also get your fried chicken with a side of eggs or french toast if you prefer. There’s even the option to add mashed potatoes or crispy green beans to your meal if you’re looking for something a little heavier. For early birds, Street’s Fine Chicken doesn’t start offering their brunch menu until mid-morning, but that’s not bad news if you like to sleep in. While their Cedar Lane location is probably the more popular out of the two, Street’s does have another spot on Forest Lane if that’s more convenient.
Mercat Bistro
2551 Harry Hines Blvd Dallas, TX 75201

Nothing beats brunch in Paris, but if you can’t afford the airline tickets, the good news is that you can still experience that French cuisine at Mercat Bistro. Nestled between Olive Street, Harry Hines Boulevard, and North Harwood Street, you can enjoy your meal and then go for a cup of Starbucks Reserve coffee, just across the road. This fancy restaurant offers brunch on the weekends, and their menu is chock-full of everything from mimosas to quiche and pastries. One of my personal favorites has to be the green chile crepes topped with roasted chiles, scrambled eggs, a healthy helping of gruyere, and sauce mornay. I’d also recommend ordering something for the table – like the seasonal fruit plate or the pastry basket, which includes homemade pastries and a side of in-house jam and butter. Since they only offer their brunch menu on the weekends, you may want to snag a table at this popular Dallas spot by making a reservation ahead of time – especially if you plan to eat your meal on their eye-catching patio.
Hero
3090 Nowitzki Way, Dallas, TX 75219
(469) 300-4199
Visit Website
Take a step into the wide, spacious dining area of Hero’s, and you won’t want to have your weekend brunch anywhere else. Off of Valor and Nowitzki Way, this is the perfect place to dine after watching a game at the American Airlines Center. While they label themselves as a modern sports bar, Hero places an emphasis on keeping healthy options available. This includes classics like the HG Breakfast of Champions, which comes with avocado, sliced tomatoes, a salad, fresh fruit, crispy bacon, and scrambled eggs cooked to perfection. Of course, if you’re in the mood for something a little sweeter, you can always order their banana-butter pecan waffles or their berries and cream waffles. Don’t forget about sharing one of their large mimosas with a friend or ordering a bloody mary to complete the meal.
Whisk Crepes Cafe
1888 Sylvan Ave Suite F-120, Dallas, TX 75208
(469) 407-1899
Visit Website
While you may not be able to snag a seat inside, Whisk Crepes Cafe currently has their patio open for dining – but you can always place an order for pickup and delivery if you’d rather just enjoy brunch in bed. And, for those colder Dallas mornings, Whisk Crepes Cafe even has heaters to keep guests sitting on the patio warm and toasty while they dine. At the junction of Sylvan Avenue and Fort Worth Avenue, this is the perfect stop for some crepes before you head out to Coombs Creek. While they’ve also got a complete breakfast menu, this Dallas restaurant is most known for their savory and sweet crepes. You can pick from existing options, or if you’d prefer, you can always create your own crepe by choosing from one of Whisk’s several fillings and toppings. One of my favorites has to be their fair day crepe, which comes with cinnamon cream cheese, caramel, cinnamon apple, and plenty of pecans. Keep in mind that first responders and healthcare workers currently eat for free at Whisk Crepes Cafe.
Yolk
1722 Routh St #132 Dallas, TX 75201
(214) 855-9655
Visit Website
Off of Routh street, but near Ross Avenue, you can enjoy Yolk in the heart of the city. If you want a restaurant that doesn’t just offer a brunch menu – but actually specializes in brunch and breakfast, you don’t need to look any further than Yolk, located in the One Arts Plaza. From a build-your-own omelet menu and egg scramblers to sweet french toast and pancakes, Yolk’s menu gives you no shortage of options. And, if you’re worried about finding breakfast and brunch options that will appeal to picky eaters and smaller children, Yolk also has a kid’s menu with plenty of kid-friendly choices. Make brunch a good time for the whole family by ordering the happy cakes for the kids and the breakfast mac and cheese for the adults. The coffee menu is also impressive, featuring specialty lattes, cold brew, and their own in-house coffee that you can customize however you want. This is also a great choice if you’re interested in dining in, as Yolk currently offers dine-in for patrons.
Paradiso’s
308 N Bishop Ave Dallas, TX 75208
(214) 944-5865
Visit Website
You may not be able to catch a flight to Europe, but Paradiso’s southern European-inspired menu will make you feel like you’re there anyway. While their heated courtyard should keep you warm on even the coldest winter days, you can also currently enjoy indoor dining at Paradiso’s too. Exit North Bishop Avenue to find this little gem hidden away between Melba Street and West Eighth Street. Their brunch menu, which is offered on the weekends, features everything from caviar and oysters to simpler classics, like french toast or homemade biscuits and gravy. The granola and greek yogurt make an excellent starter, especially if it’s paired with one of their signature cocktails. Mimosas are another brunch favorite, but even if you’re not looking to drink, their menu also has a selection of mocktails too.
Yardbird Southern Table and Bar
2121 N Pearl St Suite #170 Dallas, TX 75201
(469) 208-2441
Visit Website
Going for a day out in Klyde Warren Park? Yardbird Southern Table and Bar is just down the street off North Pearl Street. While there are plenty of southern favorites that’ll make your mouth water at Yardbird Southern Table and Bar, one of my personal favorites is the homemade Nutella beignets. Of course, you can always add watermelon, chicken and waffles, and plenty of the mimosas to the menu too. If you don’t mind something a little heavier, their brisket huevos rancheros may not be the lightest thing on the menu, but it is one of the most delicious. And, if you’re someone who enjoys a glass of juice with your brunch, they’ve also got hand-pressed juices that are made in-house, including fresh-squeezed orange juice, turmeric juice, and a cucumber concoction.
The Rustic
3656 Howell St, Dallas, TX 75204
(214) 730-0596
Visit Website
With other locations in downtown Houston and San Antonio, Dallas residents can also experience the full scope of The Rustic’s down-home offerings – many of which come from Texas’ own farmers and ranchers. If you’re looking for a little weekend entertainment, you can grab brunch and a show when you dine-in at The Rustic. Off of Howell Street and near East Lemmon Avenue, it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump to J.W. Ray Park, the perfect place to while away a warm afternoon. This restaurant is especially great for big families that enjoy sharing or family-dining – for an affordable price. The Rustic includes family-style dining that includes options like spicy fried chicken, avocado toast, and donuts for the table. As long as you don’t mind sharing food with friends and family, you can try as many brunch favorites as you want.
Roy G’s
4001 Cedar Springs Rd Dallas, TX 75219
(214) 272-7127
Visit Website
Just four blocks away from Turtle Creek Park, Roy G’s is nestled off of Cedar Springs Road and Throckmorton Street. While plenty of people like to go to Roy G’s for the ultimate brunch experience, the food is every bit as savory and delicious as you’d expect. Some of their brunch classics include the “Biscuit Henny Benny,” which comes with pickle-brined fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits covered in sausage cream gravy, poached eggs, and rainbow-swirl french toast. Or, if you’re in the mood, you can always order one of their homemade breakfast tacos, which are available daily. Since brunch wouldn’t be complete without a drink to start your day, Roy G’s is famous for their vodka-spiked champagne towers that you can find on their patio.
Bubba’s
6617 Hillcrest Ave Dallas, TX 75205
(214) 373-6527
Visit Website
In the mood for a savory, rich southern breakfast? You don’t need to go anywhere besides Bubba’s Cook Country. Near the crossroads of Hillcrest Avenue and Rosedale Avenue, Bubba’s is a great place to sit down after taking in a game at Moody Coliseum or visiting the nearby George W. Bush Presidential Center. If you’re in need of something to soak up the wild night before, Bubba’s offers all the southern classics you’d expect – fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. (Pro tip: ask for extra gravy over your mashed potatoes, it’ll make all the difference). For the full Bubba’s experience, don’t forget to enjoy your meal out on the patio and swap the fancy plates for one of Bubba’s styrofoam containers.
Bread Winners Cafe & Bakery
3301 McKinney Ave Dallas, TX 75204
(214) 754-4940
Visit Website
Located uptown at North Hall Street and McKinney Avenue, Bread Winners has a couple of different locations, but this is usually one of their hotter spots in Dallas. Of course, that may mean a little bit of a wait if you’re looking to have brunch on the weekends. Still, with beautiful Turtle Creek Park and Reverchon Park nearby, the wait is sure to be worthwhile. However, the wait is definitely worth the aftermath. Not only will you get delicious breakfast options like fried chicken and waffles, French ham benedict, or farmhouse scramble, but they’ve got an impressive list of coffee drinks as well. If plain black coffee isn’t cutting it, you can always order a mocha, latte, or even a cappuccino once you’re seated.
Ida Claire
5001 Belt Line Rd Dallas, TX 75254
(214) 377-8227
Visit Website
Offering delivery, curbside pickup, and dine-in, there’s plenty of ways to enjoy your brunch if you eat at the southern-inspired Ida Claire. This funky, retro-style restaurant along Quorum Drive and Belt Line Road doesn’t just offer great food but a nice ambiance for your morning as well. Pair champagne or a bloody mary with a Monte Cristo or fried chicken and waffles, and you’ll have the perfect way to spend your weekend brunch. After a delicious brunch, you could finish off the day at the nearby golf course, The Clubs of Prestonwood, or take in the stylish Addison Circle Park. Since they can get a little busier during popular brunch hours, you may want to schedule a reservation ahead of time if you’re dining in – but if the wait is too long, you can always have breakfast in bed by having your food delivered as well.
Encina
614 W Davis St Dallas, TX 75208
(469) 620-3644
Visit Website
If you don’t recognize the name of this Dallas favorite, you may have known it when it was called Bolsa. Today, locals know it as Encina, which operates on the corner of West Davis Street and North Llewellyn Avenue. Thanks to its prime location, you can easily pop in for brunch after taking in a movie at Texas Theatre or a relaxing stroll through Dallas Zoo. While some restaurants may have expansive and never-ending brunch menus, Encina takes a different approach. There may not be pages and pages to flip through on their menu, but each dish is perfectly curated and mouthwatering. One favorite has to be the “Devils on Horseback,” which features blue cheese, dates, bacon, and apple butter in a delicious package. If there is one part of their menu that is expansive, that would be Encina’s drink menu, which includes everything from cocktails to wine, spirits, and beer.
