Columbus Brunch Spots to Try This Weekend

Columbus is a popular city in Ohio full of community, life, and things to do and see. Whether you’re visiting for a few days or live in this town, you’re bound to explore the wonderful restaurant scene here.

When it comes to restaurants, I know it can be overwhelming to pick a spot to try. So let’s start with something easy: brunch.

If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that brunch is a fan favorite. With all of the best breakfast and lunch dishes plus amazing cocktails, what’s not to love?

I’ve compiled a list of my favorite brunch destinations in town so you can narrow down your options. From refined spots to more casual ones and classic American menus to unique, global ones, there’s a place for everyone on my list.

Looking for a spot with some of the freshest food around? Check out Skillet in Schumacher Place. This local restaurant serves American cuisine with a farm-to-table approach, so you can count on quality.

With a modern and trendy interior, this is the perfect place to grab some brunch.

Skillet is open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, so you can stop by anytime between these hours.

We recommend the biscuits and gravy, cinnamon roll, chicken and grits, or crepes. Be sure to grab a bloody maria, too!

Open from early morning to mid afternoon, Katalina’s in Harrison West is great for brunch at almost any time.

Be sure to try the pancake balls (with your choice of filling), breakfast chick ‘wich, Mexican french toast, or Katalina’s Latina sandwich!

If you’re all about the drinks at brunch, look no further than The Pearl. This local tavern serves creative cuisine in addition to wine, beer, and delicious cocktails.

With hundreds of positive reviews, it’s clear this is a spot you won’t want to miss.

The Pearl offers brunch on Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m. Try out the chicken and waffles, bacon and egg in a jar, grilled cheese, or pork cheek hash.

For the beer lovers out there, be sure to try out Bodega. This local gastropub serves American cuisine and over 150 beers, it’s one of my favorite spots in Columbus.

With a lively atmosphere and casual setting, it’s perfect for any occasion.

Brunch is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Bodega. We recommend the blueberry bourbon pancakes, Bodega “big mic,” the best chicken and waffles you’ve ever had, or steak and eggs.

Be sure to order a beer or brunch cocktail, too!

As a countrywide chain, it’s no surprise First Watch is a popular spot for brunch in town. This delicious restaurant serves American cuisine for breakfast and brunch.

And with health in mind, you can feel good about what you eat at this spot.

First Watch is open from early morning to mid afternoon, so you can stop by at your leisure. Be sure to try the Floridian french toast, BLT benedict, lemon ricotta pancakes, or power wrap.

Don’t forget to grab some fresh juice to wash it down!

Though this little shop is easy to miss in its strip mall location, Scotty’s Cafe is a must-try for a laid-back and casual brunch.

This restaurant serves American cuisine and doubles as a deli making it perfect for almost any meal.

Open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Scotty’s Cafe will be there for all of your brunch needs whenever you’re ready to start your day.

Try out the big breakfast, roast beef melt, french toast, or Bunny’s cheese blintzes!

Last but not least on our list of brunches is HangOverEasy. Serving top-notch American cuisine with one-of-a-kind touches, this spot is the perfect one to grab brunch with friends or family.

HangOverEasy is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.

We recommend the oatmeal pie pancakes, whole lotta goodness, cinnamon roll french toast, or the dirty.

Whatever you choose to order, there’s no doubt it will be something tasty!
