Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse serves quality food in an elegant atmosphere. While many restaurants are open across the country, the Cincinnati location offers excellent private dining options for a range of guests, and the restaurant can accommodate up to fifty people.

Notably, the Wine Cellar space is perfect for intimate gatherings like graduation parties or anniversary dinners. 

When I visited Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, I enjoyed the Wagyu Meatball with White Cheddar Grits, Tomato Gravy, Pecorino Romano, and Aged Balsamic.

I also recommend the crab cakes, the tuna tartar, and the New York Strip Steak. The pinot noir and the red blend are both delicious beverage options.

Boca is a high-end restaurant that serves steak and seafood dishes in a modern space. Boca is located in the Central Business District near the Aronoff Center for the Arts. 

You can make reservations online, and private dining events can be held in three separate spaces: The Parisian Room, the Wine Room, and the Second Floor, each one is ideal for a birthday party or a corporate meeting.

The Scallop with Caramelized Brussels Sprouts is tasty. I also enjoyed the Colorado Lamb Double Chop with a White Bean Ragu and the Beef Wellington with a Black Truffle Bordelaise. I recommend the “Wonder Drug” cocktail with Japanese Whiskey, Plum Sake, Ginger, and Citrus.

Primavista is an upscale restaurant with outstanding city views. The kitchen prepares classic, vegan, and gluten-free Italian dishes. 

Located inside Queens Tower, the restaurant is open most nights for dinner service. The private party room is perfect for groups of ten to fifty people. Menus are customizable for various types of parties. 

I recommend ordering the veal piccata or the ravioli. Other popular menu items include Italian favorites like spaghetti with veal meatballs and penne cionni.

The filet mignon is perfectly cooked, and the bruschetta is a tasty appetizer. Desserts are offered a la carte for private dining, and I recommend trying the tiramisu.

The Capital Grille is an upscale steakhouse chain that offers classic American cuisine. The vibe is refined, and a smart dress code is required. 

The restaurant is located near the Mercy Health Medical Center. For private dining, a personal events coordinator will help you choose a customized menu and offer wine pairing guidance. 

The private dining spaces include The Board Room, The Cincinnati Room, The Wine Room, and The Veranda, with the capacity to serve twelve to thirty-two people.

My favorite private dining menu items include the calamari, the tuna tartar, the bone-in ribeye, and the citrus glazed salmon.

Nicola’s is located in the Pendleton neighborhood near Ziegler Park. The restaurant serves contemporary Italian cuisine in a warm and welcoming space with exposed-brick walls. 

The restaurant has five distinct areas for private dining that can host between twelve and eighty guests, so it’s great for a wedding rehearsal dinner or a wedding reception.

Otherwise, the restaurant is open for dinner most nights of the week, and reservations are recommended. 

Try the eggplant parmesan, the grilled octopus, or the crispy gnocchi. I also enjoyed the rack of lamb with caramelized carrot puree and the mushroom risotto.

For dessert, try the lemon tart of the affogato. The dessert beverage menu is something to be desired–the “Nutty Irishman” is divine!

Sotto Cincinnati is a restaurant dining with a classic yet straightforward interior. The kitchen serves inventive rustic Italian cuisine. The restaurant is located near Downtown adjacent to Vine Street.

Sotto accepts reservations and offers accommodations for private parties. Two private rooms can host up to twelve guests for intimate parties, business meetings, or other celebrations like graduation dinners or business meetings. 

When I visited Sotto Cincinnati, I enjoyed the breaded pork loin served with capers and a lemon sauce.

Other popular menu items include the wood-fired branzino with escarole, white beans, and pepperoncini, and the rigatoni con pomodoro with san marzano tomato, basil, and ricotta.

Orchids at Palm Court is located in Downtown Cincinnati. It is a high-end restaurant that focuses on preparing locally sourced, seasonal foods. 

The interior decor is in the Art Deco style, a hip setting for a date night or dinner party. The Belvedere Room is the premier private dining space and offers space for up to twenty-four people. 

I enjoyed the Beef Tartare with Bone Marrow Aioli for an appetizer. Then for my entree, I ordered the Dry Aged Duck Breast with Sunchoke, Chestnuts, Pomegranate, and Duck Jus.

Other tasty menu items include foie gras, halibut, and the prime New York strip. Try the S’more with a Whiskey Marshmallow for dessert.

Metropole is situated in the Central Business District, near the Contemporary Arts Center. The restaurant serves modern American foods using seasonal ingredients. 

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; most foods are cooked over an open fire. The restaurant Metropole partners with 21c Museum Hotel to host private events.

My meal at Metropole included the Blistered Shishitos with goat’s cheese and the Bourbon Barrel Soy Brined Chicken with grilled mushroom risotto, pickled huckleberries, and charred greens.

Another delicious option is Pappardelle with smoked pork sugo, carrot, and oregano. For dessert, be sure to try the olive oil cake or the pear tart.

Seasons 52 sits adjacent to the Rookwood Commons & Pavilion Shopping Mall. The regional chain restaurant offers a rotating menu of seasonal American dishes in an upscale environment. 

Private dining spaces can accommodate up to seventy-two guests, and a personal event planner will be assigned to help you with every facet of your private dinner. This is the perfect place to host an engagement party or a baby shower. 

The group dining menu includes options like cedar-plank roasted salmon and roasted vegetable gnocchi.

Other popular menu items include the dry-rubbed pork chop with braised red cabbage, asparagus, a lemon-honey glaze, and the grilled sea scallops with French green beans and mascarpone risotto.

Moerlein Lager House is part of the Smale Riverfront Park area, near the Great American Ball Park. Moerlein Lager House offers outdoor seating on a wraparound patio with a breathtaking river view. 

The restaurant has three distinct areas for private events, and the spaces range from an intimate dining table setting to more open space for more significant events. 

Many private dining menus are available depending on the size and scope of your event. When I sampled some of the menu items, I most enjoyed the mini crabcakes and the smoked salmon bruschetta. I tried the Braised Short Ribs with grilled asparagus and a chipotle-orange demi-glace for my meal.

Via Vite is located downtown near the Contemporary Arts Center and the Convention Center. Via Vite is a modern Italian eatery that serves wine, pizza, pasta, and traditional entrees. 

The restaurant has at least five separate private dining spaces that can host groups from fifteen people to one hundred people! 

When I visited Via Vite, I enjoyed the seafood risotto. I would recommend ordering the branzino or the lamb shank for an entree.

Try the tagliatelle bolognese topped with a lamb meatball if you enjoy pasta. The caramel sea salt gelato is a tasty dessert, or try one of the dessert wines offered at Via Vite.
