There are countless places to eat vegetarian food in the city, though, so we thought we’d make it a bit easier for anyone in the mood for a meatless meal by putting together this list of Tampa Bay’s best vegetarian restaurants.

We’ve scoured the city to help you decide where to eat some tasty vegetarian food no matter what you’re craving. These places have everything you could ever imagine, and more! At the top of the list, we have an incredible place called Ground Foods Cafe that serves the absolute best vegetarian and vegan food in Tampa, and they are particularly well-known for their mouthwatering vegan pasta dishes. 

This is the ultimate spot for Italian vegetarian and vegan cuisine that is sure to fill you up without any of the guilt.

We recommend their cacio e pepe with cashew creamy cashew sauce, fettuccine, and their incredible cashew parm.


Dharma Fine Vittles

Dharma Fine Vittles is located near the Ridgewood Park neighborhood, and they have some of Tampa’s best vegetarian food that you can find. 

They serve all sorts of classic comfort foods here like BBQ chik’n and mac and cheese but with a healthy vegetarian twist.

We come in for their delicious fried green tomato sandwich, it’s a must-try meal when you’re in Tampa.

Queen of Sheba is an amazing Ethiopian restaurant that specializes in delicious Tampa Bay vegetarian dishes that are traditional in Ethiopian culture.

Eating here is an experience unlike any other in Tampa, so if you want amazing vegetarian meals, then come here next time you’re in Temple Terrace.

Right off of Henderson Boulevard in South Tampa is Health N’ Fresh Cafe with some of the best vegetarian food in Tampa Bay.

They offer a %10 discount to all first responders and military personnel who come to get some great vegetarian food here at Healthy N’ Fresh.

Fresh Bites is a counter-serve Lebanese restaurant that serves some of the best vegetarian cuisine in Tampa Bay. 

They’re located out in the northwestern area of Tampa, but it’s definitely worth the trip out if you want delicious, clean Lebanese vegetarian food.

We always recommend the falafel wrap to anyone interested in trying Fresh Bites, it won’t disappoint you. 


Bamboozle Cafe Downtown

The next spot on our list goes to Bamboozle Cafe Downtown, and they get points just for being located in our favorite part of Tampa Bay, not to mention they have some of the city’s best vegetarian food.

Bamboozle Cafe is located off of East Twiggs Street and North Tampa Street, just walking distance from The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts and the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, so it’s a perfect destination for a tasty vegetarian lunch or dinner when you’re enjoying Downtown Tampa.


3 Dot Dash

3 Dot Dash has been proudly serving amazing plant-based vegetarian and vegan food starting in 2019, and they have quickly become one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Tampa Bay since then.

They specialize in creative dishes that incorporate tasty, plant-based meat substitutes like Impossible beef and Chik’n that are so delicious you won’t be able to tell the difference between that and the real thing. 


Rasoi Indian Cuisine

We would be entirely remiss to create a list of Tampa’s best vegetarian restaurants and not include at least one traditional Indian restaurant. 

Rasoi is not a strictly vegetarian restaurant, but they serve all of the most popular vegetarian dishes found throughout Indian culture and have a expansive vegetarian menu that includes things like samosas, chana masala, and much more.

Rasoi is located on the corner of North 17th Street and East 8th Avenue, in the heart of historic Ybor City.


Luv Child

Right on the corner of West De Leon Street and South Howard Avenue in the Courier City neighborhood is Luv Child, a laid-back, 80’s Miami-themed restaurant with some of Tampa Bay’s greatest vegetarian food. 

What we love about Luv Child is that it’s one of the few places where you can get tasty vegetarian Cuban and Latino cuisine.

Our favorite things available here at Luv Child are their incredible plant-based tacos with ingredients like ancho mushrooms, chickpea rojas, and plant-based chorizo. 


Vegan International Co. Kitchen and Market

Vegan International Co. Kitchen and Market is conveniently located off of busy North Nebraska Avenue, so they’re easy to spot when you’re looking for Tampa’s best vegetarian food in a casual hang-out setting. 

Everything here at Vegan International is plant-based, meaning it’s not only vegetarian-friendly but vegan-friendly, as well.

We recommend taking advantage of a discount offered by Vegan International when you order off of their virtual kitchen and market online. It doesn’t get any easier than that!

CALI South Tampa is located on the corner of West Platt Street and South Dale Mabry Highway in the Swann Estates neighborhood, and they have some of the best vegetarian meals in all of Tampa.

They have an all-day menu, a taco Tuesday menu, and even a weekend brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays here at CALI, so you can eat here all week long! 

We really enjoy their pizzas here at CALI, especially their Amalfi pizza. It comes with an amazing almond ricotta base and a huge variety of tasty vegetables like cremini mushrooms, roasted broccoli, and roasted grape tomatoes.


Fresh Kitchen

Fresh Kitchen is located in South Tampa, right off of West Kennedy Boulevard, and they are one of our number-one destinations for the best vegetarian cuisine in Tampa. 

Bowls are the specialty here at Fresh Kitchen, and this makes it one of our go-to spots for when we want some quick, healthy vegetarian food for either lunch or dinner.

They have amazing options to choose from when building your own bowl like sweet potato noodles, golden spice chickpeas, and chilled caprese tofu. 


The Mediterranean Chickpea

The Mediterranean Chickpea is a mediterranean-themed restaurant located off of South MacDill Avenue, just south of the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club in gorgeous Palma Ceia, and they have some of the best Tampa vegetarian food you can find anywhere. 

They have three mouth-watering kinds of hummus here at The Mediterranean Chickpea including original, cilantro jalapeno, and black olive, but we also highly recommend their babaganoush, as well. 


Pure Kitchen Organic Vegan

Pure Kitchen Organic Vegan is located off of West Kennedy Boulevard and South Bradford Avenue in the Gray Gables neighborhood, and they’re one of the best places to eat Tampa’s best vegetarian food.

Pure Kitchen is low-key and pretty easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

We love this place for their quick, grab n’ go serving style that’s perfect for anyone having a busy day that just needs a fast bite to eat that’s also healthy at the same time. 


Farmacy Vegan Kitchen and Bakery

Last but not least, Farmacy Vegan Kitchen and Bakery is located in beautiful, exciting Downtown Tampa on the corner of East Polk Street and North Tampa Street, and they are easily one of Tampa’s best vegetarian restaurants.

This is our absolute favorite place to go for a mind-blowingly tasty vegetarian cheeseburger or hamburger. They make all of their burgers with Impossible beef here at Farmacy with delicious twists like pretzel buns or a garlic sourdough bun.
