It’s probably no surprise that veganism is on the rise. In a world where more and more people are becoming health-conscious, cutting out meat and dairy products seems like the next logical step. And indeed, veganism is gaining popularity every day.

As the number of vegans in the United States continues to grow, so too does the number of vegan-friendly restaurants. St. Louis, Missouri, is no exception.

Whether you’re a lifelong vegan or new to plant-based eating, you’re sure to find something to your taste at one of these five great vegan restaurants.

Bombay Food Junkies is a must-visit spot in St. Louis whether you’re a vegan or not. The atmosphere is cute and fast-casual, making it an ideal restaurant to grab a bite with friends when you don’t want a full-service sit-down meal but still want delicious food.

In addition to the welcoming atmosphere, the food at Bombay Food Junkies is absolutely amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.

I always order samosas, my favorite dish on the menu, to start with, but the cilantro hummus is equally as good. As for my main meal, I love the Kachori Chaat.

The dish is packed full of scrumptious veggies and served in a crispy lentil puff that I could eat every day.

Pizza Head

Pizza Head is my favorite vegan restaurant in St. Louis. The atmosphere is really fun and funky, and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about veganism. I always leave Pizza Head feeling full and happy.

As far as the food’s concerned, this New York-style vegan pizza joint has an amazing selection of vegan pizzas, as well as sides and salad.

If you’re looking for recommendations, I highly suggest the utopian dream pizza, which comes with loads of veggies, garlic, and black olives on a tomato base.

However, you can never go wrong with a classic build-your-own pizza too.

I had a great time at Seedz Cafe the last time I was in the Wydown Skinker neighborhood of St. Louis, right next door to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Forest.

The cafe has a really relaxed vibe, and it’s a great place to relax and have a meal. The vegan brunch options were amazing, I got the homestyle breakfast bowl, and it was delicious.

I also tried the vanilla incredible smoothie, and I swear I could drink a bucket full. It was that good!

I had the pleasure of visiting Sweet Art, a vegan bakery in St. Louis, Missouri. The bakery is family-owned and operated, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly.

As soon as I walked through the doors, I was hit with the sweet aroma of freshly baked goods that left my mouth watering.

The bakery has a wide variety of vegan baked goods, desserts, lunch items, and breakfast bites. I sampled a few items, and they were all delicious.

However, if I had to choose my favorites, I’d have to go with the classic waffle and berries for breakfast with a maple-matcha tea latte and the Bell Hooks’ nachos for lunch.

I was first introduced to Terror Tacos a few years ago when a friend took me there for dinner. The restaurant is located in a strip mall on South Grand Boulevard in Saint Louis, Missouri, and it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it.

Once you’re inside, the chilled, horror memorabilia-decorated space will captivate you and provide the perfect setting for a chill bite with friends.

But the atmosphere is only part of what makes Terror Tacos so unique. The food is also incredible. Terror Tacos serve up a wide variety of vegan tacos.

But my favorite and my top recommendation has to be the citrus mistress taco. However, the variety makes it ideal for getting a bunch of tacos to share.

You’ll find the restaurant by St. Peter and Paul Cemetary near downtown St. Louis, and it offers all of your classic comfort food favorites, like nachos, burgers, and cheesesteaks.

I always leave feeling full and happy. If you’re in the mood to indulge in some savory sandwiches, I have to recommend the ChickN parmesan sandwich or the Illy cheesesteak.

But, if you’re in the mood for a burger, you must try the BBQ Brinjal burger, which is named after the owner’s grandson and tastes unbelievable.

I love Frida’s for its commitment to health and sustainability. The restaurant is vegan, and the kitchen is free of sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, MSG, butter, microwaves, and more.

I also appreciate that Frida’s is eco-friendly, using biodegradable materials and solar energy. It’s a great place to eat healthy food and support sustainable practices.

It’s also just an ideal place to grab a bite. The pretzels and beer cheese are to die for as a starter, and I always love sinking my teeth into the juicy mushroom Reuben for lunch or dinner if I’m in the mood.
