They come to see the home of Hollywood and the movie industry, hoping to catch a glimpse of one or two A-listers.

Crossroads Kitchen is the place to go if you’re looking for the best vegan in Los Angeles in an upscale environment.
Chef Tal Ronnen, the founder, is the author of The Conscious Cook, a New York Times Bestseller. The Executive Chef, Scott Jones, makes sure the dishes you enjoy at Crossroads Kitchen are always top-notch.
This popular Melrose Avenue restaurant is entirely plant-based, bringing vegan interpretations of Mediterranean cuisine.
If you love cocktails, you will be pleased by this restaurant’s offerings in that area. My favorite dish is the All Grown Up Burger, which includes an Impossible burger, delectable provolone cheese, and more.
A well-known eating spot for delicious dishes made with organic and natural ingredients, Shojin makes macrobiotic, gluten-free, and vegan foods. I appreciate Shojin’s commitment to never using artificial ingredients, salt, or even sugar.
Shojin’s Executive Chef, Jun Matoshiro, was trained in Japan and has worked in the United States since 2000.
He specializes in Kyoto-style cuisine. On my trip to Los Angeles, I ordered the Tempura Avocado Salad. I loved it! This delicious salad includes arugula, baby greens, and avocado. And the tomato dressing is to die for.
Shojin has two locations, one downtown and the other in Culver City. If you go to the Culver City location, check out the outdoor dining options.
With the accomplished Seizan Dreux Ellis as Executive Chef, Cafe Gratitude is a must-visit Los Angeles restaurant for everyone, vegan or not.
With multiple locations, Cafe Gratitude offers a health-focused vegan menu that never disappoints when it comes to flavor.
Mindset is as important as cuisine at Cafe Gratitude. When you start with delicious food and add a large helping of mindfulness, you get an experience that’s impossible to beat.
Cafe Gratitude has several locations, including three in Los Angeles: one in Venice, another in the Arts District, and a third in Larchmont.
And if you want to make the short journey, you can check out the location in Newport Beach, too. On my visit to the Venice location, I had their southwestern-style enchiladas, aptly named I Am Elated.
2870 Rowena Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90039
Located in the hip and trendy Silver Lake neighborhood, Little Pine is something different. You already know the founder: Moby, the singer and songwriter.
There are new owners now, and they continue Moby’s original intentions. Little Pine is a restaurant with a conscience, and the owners regularly donate to community animal charities.
With 100% plant-based ingredients in all its dishes, Little Pine offers a full range of vegan dishes. Eating lunch, brunch, or dinner at Little Pine is always comfortable, and the restaurant is known for its friendly and helpful staff.
I highly recommend the Truffle Mac-N-Cheese at Little Pine. This scrumptious comfort-food dish includes truffle oil, chives, 4-cheese Mornay sauce, and more. For a side, go with the Garlic Fries. Are you looking for a salad? I always choose the Ceasar.
Rahel Ethiopian Vegan Cuisine
1047 S Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90019
Don’t miss Rahel Ethiopian Vegan Cuisine if you’re a vegan. This restaurant is off-the-beaten-track, and if you feel like you have already tried everything in the vegan universe, this is a place to visit.
This popular yet cozy restaurant immerses you in the world of Ethiopian food, and the communal style of eating that stretches back centuries.
Bring a group of friends and family and eat from a large splatter, sharing traditional Injera bread. Order a combination platter and give your companions as many as nine vegan entree dishes.
You’ll find Rahel Ethiopian Vegan Cuisine on South Fairfax Avenue in an area called Little Ethiopia.
345 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036
If you’re visiting Los Angeles and crave a vegan burger, head over to Honeybee Burger. Located on North La Brea Avenue, you’ll find yourself in a vibrant retail area. Every dish on the Honeybee Burger menu is entirely plant-based.
Want the best vegan burger in LA? Look no further! VegNews chose the classic Honeybee burger as the best vegan burger in the city.
It uses Impossible meat (or Beyond meat) and fresh onion juice, house sauce, house-made pickles, and more. I ordered this dish and couldn’t help devour it while at Honeybee Burger.
Super hungry? Check out the Queen Bee. This burger includes a double patty, as well as double vegan cheese.
Plant Food + Wine

Under the iconic Matthew Kenney Cuisine umbrella, Plant Food + Wine is a must-experience eating spot to enjoy vegan in Los Angeles.
Situated in the legendary Venice neighborhood, Plant Food + Wine is exactly what it sounds like: it is a plant-based food and wine hot spot.
When you visit Plant Food + Wine, the stylish contemporary decor immediately strikes you. The menu is equally, if not more, impressive.
Plant Food + Wine serves dinner and lunch, as well as brunch on the weekends. You can eat either indoors or outdoors.
Plant Food + Wine prides itself on healthy vegan dishes, and it locally sources its ingredients. You can expect the menu to vary by season.
The Butcher’s Daughter
1205 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
If you’ve ever been to New York City, you’ve probably heard of The Butcher’s Daughter. Luckily, this restaurant is also in Los Angeles. You can find it in the famous Venice neighborhood, and it offers both outdoor and indoor dining.
This plant-based restaurant is also a juice bar and cafe. The Butcher’s Daughter explains that they use vegetables to their maximum potential, even preparing them like meat.
You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner on weekdays at The Butcher’s Daughter. If you visit on the weekend, you can also have brunch.
The Butcher’s Daughter has a menu that is always full of surprises. The dishes available change daily, adding extra variety and excitement.

Real Food Daily
414 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048
Serving top-notch plant-based and organic dishes, Real Food Daily has been a Los Angeles fixture since 1993. It’s in West Hollywood on La Cienega Boulevard, so stop in as you explore this part of Tinseltown.
Real Food Daily’s West Hollywood location has a full-ranging menu, with something for everyone.
It boasts delicious vegan burgers as well as a host of other entrees, sandwiches, and more. Make sure to accompany your meal with a salad and starters. There is also pizza and calzones.
Are you a breakfast-lover? Real Food Daily has an All Day Breakfast menu. My favorite items are the Breakfast Pizza and Breakfast Burrito.
4507 S Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90066
Lots of vegan food enthusiasts also love Thai dishes. If you’re one of them, LA Vegan offers the perfect combination to please your palate. As well as Thai cuisine, there are other classic American dishes.
Adding to the interest is LA Vegan’s exhibition kitchen. If you love watching skilled cooks in action, this is the place for you. And the wait staff at LA Vegan is famous for being friendly and attentive.
I always order the Steamed Dumplings as an appetizer at LA Vegan. Or if I’m feeling a little more decadent, I’ll go with the Fried Dumplings. Other favorite dishes are the Thai Coconut Corn Soup, the Thai Fried Rice, and the Veggie Wrap.
Green Leaves Vegan
1769 Hillhurst Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027
Just a short drive away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Green Leaves Vegan is a simple and welcoming vegan restaurant with mouth-watering dishes, all beautifully presented.
Using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, Green Leaves Vegan never disappoints.
Egg and spring rolls are my weaknesses, and I can attest to how tasty they are at Green Leaves Vegan. When it comes to the restaurant’s legendary dinner combinations, I favor the Sweet and Sour Dinner.
This meal features soy chicken nuggets that are decadently deep-fried. And don’t forget the sweet and sour sauce we all love so much—delicious vegetable sides such as cauliflower and broccoli complete the experience.
My Vegan Gold
4319 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90029
Sunset Boulevard is a street we all know, and it’s where you’ll find My Vegan Gold. I think this restaurant chose the perfect name because it’s replete with truly golden vegan dishes.
As a vegan restaurant, My Vegan Gold uses only plant-based ingredients, and they are all top-quality.
If you’re visiting My Vegan Gold for dinner, take your time choosing your favorites from the long list of tasty dishes.
There is a long list of starters, but I like the Vegan Eggrolls best of all. Select the soup and salad of your choice before choosing an exciting entree. One popular choice is the Orange Chicken, and I can attest to its deliciousness.
Âu Lạc LA
710 W 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Âu Lạc’s founder, Mai Nguyen, opened the restaurant’s Fountain Valley location back in 1997. Since then, she has opened this Âu Lạc LA location in the heart of the city.
Mai has decades of experience in Vietnamese cuisine, and she has always drawn on this knowledge, creating delicious fusion dishes.
Health comes first at Âu Lạc. Mai Nguyen and Chef Ito have created an impressive menu of nutrient-rich vegan dishes with explosive flavors. There’s a reason why Âu Lạc receives so much praise in the popular press.
Like all the best vegan dishes, Âu Lạc uses plant-based meat alternatives like peas, Konjac, potato, wheat, and soy. Of course, grains, nuts, and vegetables also play a major role.
2943 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
Located on Sunset Boulevard, Flore Vegan is yet another vegan eating spot I recommend. This restaurant has a full menu range, covering appetizers, salads, sandwiches, soup, pizza, tacos, and more.
And don’t forget the luscious (and healthy) smoothies Flore Vegan has to offer. You’ve got to try the Strawberry Smoothie or Raw Chocolate Shake at some point during your Los Angeles stay.
When it comes to sandwiches, I favor the Avocado & Cheese. Save room for dessert. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake – need I say more?
Head to Flore Vegan for breakfast, too. There are all kinds of creative vegan dishes this time of day, such as the Tofu Scramble and Huevos Rancheros.
Sage Plant Based Bistro and Brewery Echo Park
1700 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
This restaurant, otherwise known as Sage Vegan Bistro, is located in the great neighborhood of Echo Park. A vibrant and artistic area, you will find plenty of fascinating attractions while you’re there.
Sage Vegan Bistro offers an ample menu. When I went there for dinner, I had the Farmer’s Lasagna.
A creative and delicious dish, you’ll be sad when it’s finished. I paired it with the Goatless Greek Salad. One of Sage’s pizza varieties is another excellent choice.
This vegan restaurant also serves breakfast. With dishes like Chia French Toast, Wild Blueberry Pancakes, the Breakfast Burrito, and more, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
8393 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048
If you’re looking for a vegan restaurant with a relaxed and decidedly casual atmosphere, check out Vegan Glory. This eating spot has delicious appetizers. I especially enjoyed the Spring Rolls and Sweet Potato Fries.
When it comes to wraps, Vegan Glory has some tasty varieties. Think about ordering the Beef Jerky Wrap or the Classic Wrap.
The Crispy Chicken Wrap is another popular choice. This eatery also offers a full range of vegan burgers, including Classic Burgers, a Crispy Chicken Burger, and more.
For extra nibbles, check out the A La Carte menu. Spicy Eggplant and Fresh Ginger are always kind to the tastebuds.
The Vegan Joint (West LA)
10438 National Blvd #4664, Los Angeles, CA 90034
The Vegan Joint is an informal vegan eatery where you can enjoy a wide range of menu items. I recommend the Grilled Chicken Dinner if you’re heading over for dinner.
This soy chicken dish is grilled and comes with cilantro sauce. And don’t forget to grab a few chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
This eating spot is also a great place to get noodles. Some popular options include the Spicy Noodle Soup, the Pad Thai, and the Chow Mein.
If you’re more of an All Day Breakfast person, The Vegan Joint has you covered. The menu includes five burrito varieties and a host of other options.
Vegans are never short of restaurants with delicious dishes in Los Angeles. As we’ve seen here, there are options ranging from the upscale to the casual, with several in-between.
