This gorgeous South Florida city makes sure that there are delicious food options for anyone. I know it can be especially hard to find vegan restaurants, but I’ve put together a list of my favorites! In fact, there are roughly 20+ restaurants in Fort Lauderdale are 100% vegan friendly.

Green Bar and Kitchen is a small, vibrant modern vegan cafe that can be found right off of SE 17th street in Fort Lauderdale and it’s one of the restaurants I recommend to everyone. At Green Bar & Kitchen, you will get to enjoy satisfying flavors that come from fresh and wholesome plant based food. This vegan cafe is owned and operated by Damn Good Hospitality, who bring cutting edge concepts and events to South Florida! Green Bar and Kitchen have a large variety of foods to choose from. They have a GBK Deluxe Burger, Gyro, Meatball Panini, salads, Acai Bowels, and so much more. Every Sunday they have brunch from 11- 4PM and every Thursday you can look forward to their half off fresh baked cookies! Along with beverages, like the smoothie Fitness Fuel, or Coconut water, they also serve locally brewed beers and cocktails like Blueberry Mojito!

If you are looking for a vegan restaurant in Fort Lauderdale that specifically serves breakfast and lunch foods, then Fresh First is exactly where you should go! Fresh First is a laid back restaurant that makes everything from scratch! Fresh First is the first eatery in Fort Lauderdale to earn great kitchen accreditation by Beyond Celiac! Their specialty menu offers sandwiches like the Hot Melt served with chicken or tuna and is topped with white sharp cheddar on buttermilk waffle bread! Fresh first also have lunch bowls like Fresh Brown Rice! They also make their dressings, sauces, and soups from scratch! The breakfast menu at Fresh First is available all day long and includes fun and filling items like Egg Sandwich or Keywest Tofu!

Looking for a relaxed, outdoorsy vegan spot in the Fort Lauderdale area? Then I highly recommend you try out Vegan Bruder. Situated in a food truck that has an open patio near Fort Lauderdale Beach, Vegan Bruder offers different types of delicious, German-style, vegan burgers and Bratwursts (sausages). There are many great German-style vegan burgers to choose from! There is the sauteed onion and pepper burger, a delicious mushroom BBQ burger that is flame seared, and, for something more ordinary, a cheeseburger! The Bratwurst sausage is served on a pretzel bun with peppers and onions! There are also many delicious side orders you can have like extra thick french fries and cinnamon sugar crisps.

At SoBe Vegan in Fort Lauderdale, they take care to give you top-quality vegan dishes in a small yet playful fast-food restaurant! You don’t have to worry about dressing up here, it is a casual restaurant that is open every day of the week from 8AM to 9PM. After having a great time in the fun and colorful, pink and green vegan restaurant, you can walk on over to Fort Lauderdale Beach! This chain restaurant can be found across the globe. You can choose from an expansive menu that includes classic cheddar burgers, buttermilk ranch chicken, Italian street cart sausages, salads, and power bowls like the organic med bowl. They have delicious hand spun shakes, a variety of fruit and vegetable smoothies like pitaya protein. You also have choices in coffee beer, wine and juices!!!

Up for some decadent Middle Eastern and Israeli vegan and veggie dishes that are served with a generous helping of hummus? Then come on over to Fort Lauderdale’s The Hummus House. At The Hummus House, you will be served over the counter in this very laid-back urban restaurant.  The restaurant faces the marina and makes for great outdoor seating views! The menu here has great appetizers you can start off with. The Falafel and Israeli Salad are fresh and fun options. The classic hummus bowl is really good! There is also a spicy “beef” hummus bowl. The meatless shawarma is one of many delicious pita pockets to choose from. There is also a special all-day breakfast option on the menu that you should definitely try out! Hummus House also offers a kids menu and beverages such as frozen lemonade, malt beer, and Turkish coffee.

PS Green Vegan Express is a South Florida, family-owned business that prides itself in creating amazing vegan dishes. The CEO, chef, and owner of PS Green, Jose Pablo, grew up in Argentina, and his menu reflects those natal Argentina flavors. Their menu serves mouth-watering vegan dishes like Hearty Lentil Soup, Tex-Mex Burgers, and BBQ Jackfruit Burritos!  To wash that goodness down, PS Green serves smoothies, juices, coffees and teas! I’d recommend their Hot Tropical smoothie or Natural Lemonade. If you want an immunity booster, try their Power Shot! PS Green is open 7 days a week, so come on over any time.

At Burgerhive, they specialize in making flavorful comfort food with Caribbean spice! When dining in this Fort Lauderdale restaurant, you do not have to worry about dressing up. It is a laid-back restaurant with excellent service! In fact, Burgerhive is considered South Florida’s premier plant-based burger joint! Burgerhive serves burgers like the Original Burger and the Island Spice Burger. They also serve chicken sandwiches like the Buffalo Bomber Sandwich. There are also crispy chicken wings and crispy fries that are really good. You can wash all of this down with milkshakes and smoothies. My favorites are the chocolate milkshake and the mango smoothie!

Vegan On The Go is not a fancy, sit-down restaurant. You can literally grab your meal and go right to Riviera Beach, which is where this beachfront restaurant is located in Fort Lauderdale. Along with perfect views of the beach, Vegan On The Go is praised for its excellent service. Vegan On The Go guarantee that they are a healthy option for a busy schedule. They serve delicious dishes like the Sweet Baby Vegan burger, Impossible Tacos, and Shrimp and Fries! On their kid’s menu, they offer the Impossible Lunchbox and Chicken Nuggets & Fries. Their dessert menu has fun sweets like Banana Split and Cookies! Their drinks are made with fruits inside, like their Strawberry Lemonade.

Mayapapaya Juicery and kitchen is an open kitchen cafe that is known for its fast and friendly over-the-counter service. You can find this cafe in the Bayview Building in Fort Lauderdale where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the marina. They are open from Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. You can choose from a variety of great dishes like Bison Burgers and Chicken Sandwiches You also have the option to choose Superfood Smoothies like Pink Lady and Organic Bowls like the Whole Grain Bowl. Mayapapaya even has what they call a Fireball shot which contains turmeric, lemon, ginger, and echinacea oil!

Yello! Is an informal vegan cafe and creative arts facility that offers all plant-based dishes. It is located in Fort Lauderdale off of E Commercial Boulevard! While enjoying the arts, you can enjoy their low-key, yet tasteful ambiance. Both on the inside of the restaurant and the outside!From Spinach and Artichoke Flatbread to the Yello Burger, you will find each of Yello’s meals to be simple yet decadent! There are choices of fun sides like Air Fires and Southwest Quinoa! For drinks, you can turn to items like Ginger Green Iced Tea, Cappuccino, and Kombucha! At Yello!, all your senses are taken to decadent paradise with these simple yet amazing dishes and atmosphere!
