If so, you’ll want to visit the Municipal Rose Garden, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.

When I visited San Jose, I enjoyed seeing the Winchester Mystery House, as well. After spending the day seeing the many attractions in the city, I love to grab some lunch or dinner at some of the best Thai restaurants San Jose, California.

So whenever I’m in the mood for sticky rice, chicken skewers, and pad thai, I make sure to visit restaurants like Tee Nee Thai Cuisine, Sweet Mango, and Thai Spice.

Tee Nee Thai Cuisine

Patrons consider Tee Nee Thai Cuisine as one of the best Thai restaurants San Jose, California. I found the Tee Nee Thai Cuisine restaurant right by the Westminster Presbyterian Church across from Lenzen Avenue.

You can also find a wine bar called Hop & Vine right next door. The San Jose Metro voted the eatery as the best Thai restaurant with the best beer and wine list.

One of my favorite dishes here was the Thai red curry with prawns. I also loved the satay, which are chicken skewers with peanut sauce.

Finally, the vegetarian spring rolls tasted just right – fresh and savory. Make sure to check out the restaurant on your next trip!

The Must be Thai eatery sits right in the middle of a shopping district. You can find David’s Bridal, Best Buy, Nike, and a mattress store nearby.

The restaurant has a more modern and trendy feel. You can choose indoor or outdoor seating at the eatery.

My favorite appetizer at Must be Thai is the spring roll with sweet chili sauce. The Tom Yum fried rice tasted absolutely delicious with its tasty prawns.

For dessert, my family and I enjoyed trying the mango sticky rice. The eatery also serves sweet wines and champagnes like Prosecco.


Oros Thai Restaurant

The Oros Thai Restaurant stands near the corner of Cottle Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard. I found the eatery right by the Country Square Shopping Center and down the street from the ARCHVET Animal Hospital.

If you’re looking to spend an afternoon reading books, the Santa Teresa Branch Library is also only a few blocks away.

When I visited the Oros Thai Restaurant, I found that the yellow chicken curry was an exquisite and delicious dish.

I also tried the tasty Thai sausage for my appetizer. It came with savory red onion, chili, and cashew nuts. Make sure to visit the eatery on your next San Jose vacation!

After spending a day at Jeffrey Fontana Park and the playground in San Jose with your children, you may have gotten hungry for some Thai food.

Luckily, the Thai Love You restaurant sits just southwest of the park on Meridian Avenue. At this restaurant, one of my favorite dishes was the pineapple curry with prawns.

The dish was a lunch special served until 3 PM. I also split some sweet and tasty hot sticky wings with my significant other while sipping some Thai iced tea. For dessert, we all enjoyed the fried banana dumplings with ice cream.


Khaosan Thai Restaurant

The Khaosan Thai Restaurant positions itself right between the Honey Bakery & Cafe and the NU Spring Therapy office.

The eatery is right in the midst of grocery shops and the restaurant district. Also, if you’re a musician, you can check out some musical instruments at the Music Village store down the street.

The restaurant has a relatively laidback and casual atmosphere. When I visited the Khaosan Thai Restaurant, I enjoyed the fish cake and roti as my starters.

The taste was savory and fresh, while the chili sauce had a sweet flavor. I picked the beef pad thai with a hot and spicy flavor. The food here is authentic and quite delicious. 


Santi Thai Fusion

I found the Santi Thai Fusion restaurant amid a foodie’s paradise. Nearby, you can find Sonia’s Kitchen, the Spartan Taco Truck, and The Corner Cafe & Diner.

You can also find St. Paul’s United Methodist Church a few streets away. At this restaurant, I loved the casual atmosphere.

My favorite dish was the dynamite chicken wings as an appetizer. I also loved the spicy salmon with pineapple fried rice, which included eggs, curry, cashew nuts, pineapple, and raisins. All the ingredients gave the dish both a sweet and savory taste.


Sweet Mango

The Sweet Mango restaurant sits amid a food district that any foodie would love. The area has sushi from Sushi Arashi and fast food from Jack in the Box, but only Sweet Mango serves the best Thai food in the space.

You can also enjoy spending an afternoon at Fuller Park a few blocks away before grabbing lunch at Sweet Mango.

I shared two amazing dishes with my two friends here. We all loved trying the shrimp pad thai and pineapple fried rice. In fact, the fried rice gets served right inside a pineapple skin.


Thai Spice

The Creeks Trail goes right by the Thai Spice restaurant. You can also enjoy Hummingbird Park a few blocks away.

After a day of walking the trail and hanging out at the park, you’ll want to grab dinner at the Thai Spice restaurant.

The place has a more formal and upscale atmosphere, so it’s perfect for date night. My favorite dishes here included the eggplant in a spicy sauce, cashew beef, and a side of sticky rice.

I also loved adding peanut sauce to the rice. The food and atmosphere at the Thai Spice restaurant were superb!


New Krungthai Restaurant

The New Krungthai Restaurant stands by the shopping district and is close to Thomas Barrett Park. You can spend the day shopping at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, and Macy’s.

Then end your day grabbing dinner from this authentic Thai restaurant. The eatery is somewhat upscale but isn’t over the top.

When I came here, I enjoyed the Thai egg rolls as an appetizer with the Thai BBQ chicken combo. The prawn fried rice came with the BBQ chicken.

The meal was finger-licking and lip-smacking delicious! Come to the New Krungthai Restaurant for a tasty meal.


Lanna Thai Restaurant

The Lanna Thai Restaurant has a chef and kitchen staff with more than two decades of Thai cooking expertise.

The eatery situates itself right in front of the Camden Park shopping mall and several fast food places nearby, including Five Guys. The eatery is very trendy and looks rather inviting from the outside.

My favorite dishes from this restaurant are crispy rolls with plum sauce, wonton soup, and sweet and sour salmon with a side of sticky rice. To finish the meal, I enjoyed some coconut ice cream for dessert.


Thai Chili Express

The Thai Chili Express hosts many college students, as the San Jose State University is only two blocks away.

Asian restaurants abound in the area, with two Vietnamese restaurants and a Chinese one nearby. Yet, if Thai food is your favorite, check out Thai Chili Express.

My favorite dishes from this restaurant include the sweet and fresh mango sticky rice and the yellow chicken curry.

The fried jumbo shrimp made an excellent appetizer for my friends and me to split. You won’t regret checking out this Thai restaurant!


Final Thoughts

When you visit San Jose, you can also check out the Raging Waters waterpark or spend the day strolling along the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
