This contemporary Japanese chain was the first stop on my list, and with plenty of locations to choose from, it wasn’t difficult to find one nearby.
For years this eatery has been voted the best sushi place in St. Louis, and it’s easy to tell why. As soon as you walk through the doors in any of these locations, you are greeted by stylish scenery, friendly staff, and delicious aromas.
During my visit, my favorite dish to try was the Yellowtail Mexicano, a Japanese classic with a Mexican twist. To complete the meal, I paired it with the Sake Punch. This dinner was exciting and refreshing.
I was so happy to see that this chain delivers because I couldn’t wait to have seconds brought right to my doorstep.

You can find this straightforward sushi restaurant in the bustling action of downtown St. Louis. With excellent attractions such as the Citygarden Sculpture Park nearby, this is a perfect place to stop for lunch on a busy afternoon.
I loved sampling this establishment’s unique take on sushi rolls, such as the Philadelphia roll, made with cream cheese, scallion, and raw salmon.

This cozy but modern eatery is among the best sushi restaurants in St. Louis, thanks to its expertly crafted traditional Japanese cuisine.
I stopped by after a day of exploring the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, and I was blown away by the quality of both the food and service.
I tried several of the sushi rolls over the evening. I decided to branch out from my usual favorites and try the Nigiri Sushi, a type of sushi with the fish or toppings molded over the top of the sushi rice rather than rolled or wrapped in nori.
My favorite was the surf clam and, surprisingly, the octopus! I appreciated the friendly staff that encouraged me to try something new.

This authentic Japanese-style eatery serves several classic Asian flavors, making it a favorite of the locals.
I decided to grab lunch here before spending the day in Wilbur Park. Beautifully plated entrees and the inviting atmosphere were an ideal way to enjoy a meal.
It was fun to join friends in sampling a platter of sushi rolls and Shrimp Yaki Soba. Whether you prefer bold flavors like wasabi and teriyaki, or rich and savory crab rangoons, you’ll be able to find something for everyone on this menu.
And if you need to take your food on the go, ask for a lunch box.

This contemporary and stylish restaurant is situated conveniently between the central west end and midtown.
Tucked in among plenty of shopping and entertainment, this was the perfect space to stop at on my last day in St. Louis.
I’m so grateful I didn’t get on the plane before experiencing this one-of-a-kind cuisine. If you’ve never had a sushi burrito, this is the place to try one.
I ordered Cali Gold, which had all my favorite flavors: avocado, sesame seeds, masago, and cucumber.
Thanks to the clever design of these massive sushi rolls, I never even needed chopsticks to eat it. The next time I’m in town, I’ll be sure to try the nachos.
