Enjoy amazing food at our favorite spots around the city.

Home to the world-famous Venice Beach, Venice is one of the most popular parts of Los Angeles to visit, and for fantastic reasons, not least of which are the pristine waters and soft sands of the Pacific Ocean.

If you want to know more about where to eat in the area, then I think I can help you out with that.

Felix Trattoria

1023 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 424-387-8622
Visit Website

Coming away at number one is Felix Trattoria, and this should come as no surprise to any locals or anyone who has dined there before already.

Felix Trattoria is an Italian restaurant that serves up all the classic Italian cuisine we know and love, as well as so much more.

You can find Felix trattoria off of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Broadway Street where they serve up some absolutely incredible food.

I usually go for a pizza when I come here. Either that, or I grab an order of the branzino alla brace because the fish is so delicious.

Gjusta

320 Sunset Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-314-0320
Visit Website

Up next is none other than Gjusta, one of the absolute best places to grab a sandwich in all of Venice, if you ask me. Gjusta is actually an artisanal bakery, but they do so much more than just bake bread.

Not only do they have sandwiches made with freshly baked bread, but you can get all sorts of plates, soups, salads, and even more.

I cannot get enough of their pastrami sandwich, but another one of my favorite things to order is the fish sandwich with whatever fish looks the freshest that day.

Dudley Market

9 Dudley Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-392-0825
Visit Website

Dudley Market is the next place I want to mention when it comes to Venice restaurants. This place is perfect for some fresh seafood after a long day of soaking up the sun on Venice Beach which happens to be within walking distance of the restaurant.

Like I said, seafood is the specialty here at Dudley Market, and boy do they know what they’re doing. You can come here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so if you want, you could stay here all day long!

I highly recommend trying some oysters to get you started, but then the possibilities are endless!

Gjelina

1429 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-450-1429
Visit Website

Back over on Abbot Kinney boulevard is another amazing Venice restaurant that you simply must visit called Gjelina.

This restaurant is an American eatery that takes influence from all over the globe, so no matter what you’re looking to eat, chances are that you can find it here.

I love coming to Gjelina for either breakfast or dinner mainly. Some of my favorite things to order from this place are the lamb burger, the salmon pastrami sandwich, and the grilled hanger steak sandwich. Don’t worry, though, there are countless other delicacies on their menu to choose from as well.

Night + Market Sahm

2533 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 213-587-2147
Visit Website

Right on the corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Grant Avenue, right around the corner from the Costco Wholesale warehouse store is Night + Market Sahm.

This restaurant is one of my absolute favorite places to grab some delicious Thai food when you’re in Venice.

This is an authentic Thai restaurant that seriously never disappoints. I usually go with the pad see ew gai, but their pad thai is really something special as well.

Don’t be afraid to branch out and try something new when you come to Night + Market Sahm, everything on their menu is homemade and fantastic.

Hinano Cafe

15 Washington Blvd, Venice, CA 90292
Phone: 310-822-3902
Visit Website

Up next is a place called Hinano cafe that you can check out off of Speedway and Washington Boulevard, right before the Venice Fishing Pier.

This is the perfect place to come for a consolation beer and some food if you’ve been fishing off the pier all day with no luck.

Hinano Cafe is your classic beachside bar and grill with all the tasty bar food that we know and love like burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteak sandwiches, tuna melts, and much more.

I usually go for a good, old-fashioned double cheeseburger when I come to Hinano, but they also have a delicious veggie burger for anyone who might want a meatless option.

Casablanca

220 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-392-5751
Visit Website

Right on the corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Rose Avenue, right across from the Whole Foods Market, is Casablanca.

I love coming here to eat when I’m in Venice because this place has some really phenomenal Mexican food with all of the tequila you can drink.

Casablanca is an all-around good time for lunch or a lively night out. I like to go at night, usually, so that I can enjoy a nice, cold margarita.

As for food, I always recommend a grande burrito. Just make sure you’re really hungry because, like the name implies, it is not small.

Superba Food + Bread Venice

1900 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-907-5075
Visit Website

The next place I’d like to introduce to you is called Superba Food + Bread. This place is awesome and they even have another location over in Hollywood if you’re ever in that area.

What I love about this place is that everything is so fresh and tasty that you don’t even feel guilty after eating here.

I absolutely love their raw bar here at Superba. The raw bar features some absolute treasures of the sea like Peruvian scallops, littleneck clams, Maine lobster, and not only West coast oysters, but also East coaster oysters so you can order both and compare the two.

Great White

1604 Pacific Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 424-744-8403
Visit Website

This next place, Great White, is a popular sidewalk cafe that looks out at the intersection of Windward Avenue and Pacific Avenue where you’ll find the light-up Venice Sign, right around the corner from the Venice Beach Recreation Center and the Venice Beach Skatepark.

I usually come to Great White for breakfast because they open early at 8 AM, but they stay open until 9 PM so you can come for lunch and dinner as well.

The sandwiches are terrific here at Great White, but those make up only a small portion of their fantastic menu. I also would recommend a pizza if you’re in the mood.

Ospi

2025 Pacific Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 424-443-5007
Visit Website

Now, for another great Italian restaurant because you can never have too much delicious Italian food, right? Well, I agree, and ospi is always a great stop for some pizza, pasta, and classic Italian dishes that we all know. Don’t forget the wine and cocktails, either!

When I come to Ospi, I usually find myself somewhat drawn towards the spicy rigatoni, but that’s only if I’m here for lunch.

They serve an absolutely phenomenal brunch menu on the weekends that you really do not want to miss, featuring something they call the Bloody Margherita cocktail which is to-die-for.

The Tasting Kitchen

1633 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-392-6644
Visit Website

The Tasting Kitchen is up next and this place never disappoints when I have the pleasure of paying them a visit. You can find them right near the intersection of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Venice Boulevard.

This restaurant is a low-key gem that many people might not know about. The Tasting Kitchen serves up absolutely incredible Mediterranean food with another one of the best brunch menus in Venice.

I highly recommend coming here on the weekends for brunch and getting the short rib hash or the steak and eggs with a bloody mary or a mimosa, of course.

The Rose Venice

220 Rose Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-399-0711
Visit Website

The Rose is another great place to eat in Venice, Los Angeles that I want to mention and I really think you’re going to love this one as much as I did when I went there. This place specializes in Californian fare and I can’t get enough of it.

My absolute favorite thing that I’ve tried from The Rose is their 48-day, dry-aged tomahawk ribeye that comes served with beef fat fries, a miso bearnaise, and savory au jus.

At a certain point, when the food is this delectable, it becomes more of a culinary experience rather than just a meal.

Gran Blanco

80 Windward Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 424-433-8095
Visit Website

Right near the Hotel Erwin and Windward Plaza on the corner of Windward Avenue and Pacific Avenue is the next fantastic restaurant that I’d like to bring to your attention called Gran Blanco.

This place is a modern European restaurant that will blow you away along with all of your expectations.

This is another one of my favorite brunch spots in Venice, by far. I usually grab a mimosa or a bloody Maria to start with, and then I go for either the French toast or the breakfast tacos, depending on whether I’m in the mood for something sweet or savory.

La Isla Bonita

400 Rose Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-663-6603

Up next is a really tucked-off, low-key gem that you really need to eat at. La Isla Bonita is located over on the corner of 4th Avenue and Rose Avenue in the Oakwood neighborhood of Venice where they serve up some unbelievably delicious Mexican food.

Whenever I come to La Isla Bonita, which is as often as I can, I go for a couple of ceviche tostadas to get me started before grabbing either a burrito or a quesadilla, but sometimes I just want a bunch of tacos too. No matter what Mexican food you’re looking for, La Isla Bonita has something tasty for you.

Barrique

796 Main St, Venice, CA 90291
Phone: 310-399-9010
Visit Website

Wrapping things up, we have Barrique, an Italian restaurant that you can find off of Main Street inside of a charming little cottage that will make you feel right at home.

They have some truly unique menu items here that you won’t find at many other restaurants around Venice, so coming here to eat is always a treat.

My all-time favorite dish from Barrique is the house-made black ink linguine with lobster and wild mushrooms.

Of course, that’s just one option. There are many more Italian classics to choose from that are guaranteed to satisfy your cravings.
