It’s considered one of the most pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods, making it a go-to destination if you’re someone who loves traversing from store to store during a shopping spree or enjoys the city’s bustling nightlife.

Uptown Dallas is also an exciting hub where you can find gourmet restaurants serving the neighborhood’s best BBQ, Mexican, and Tex-Mex dishes.

After starting with their Fresh Florida Stone Crab Claws or Parmesan Yeast Rolls, consider ordering their Chilean King Crab, Farmhouse Burger, or Norwegian Salmon with creamed spinach and a Sunken Treasure cocktail. If you’re interested in treating yourself to dessert, try their Key Lime Pie or Chocolate Malt Cake.

During my last few visits to Uptown, I started with their Crabmeat Maison and Boiled Shrimp. Then, I ordered their Fried Oysters, New Orleans Bar-B-Q Shrimp, Oyster Loaf, and Broiled Whole Flounder topped with Jumbo Lump Crab. I like pairing these dishes with Creole Rice or Hushpuppies.

I also recommend their BBQ Spiced Beef Filet & Chicken Fried Maine Lobster or Wagyu Tenderloin topped with Cognac Peppercorn Sauce.

Be sure to ask for some BBQ Brisket Mac & Cheese as your side dish and a Sunrise Sangria from their Rattlesnake Bar.

Then, sample their Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye, Surf & Turf Pasta, Fried Shrimp, or Chicken Oscar topped with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat.

Most of their entrees and sides are gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian-friendly, making the dining choices more accessible for specific dietary preferences.

If you’re passing through West Village, the best place that I recommend for Moroccan and Lebanese fare is Baboush, minutes from Men’s Wearhouse.

It has a casual vibe and incorporates Eastern Mediterranean decor into the interior design to enhance its immersive feel.

Arabic guitarist and singer George Matta also performs every Friday and Saturday night from 8 PM to 11 PM.

In my opinion, their best dishes are Apricot Lamb Tagine, Fire-Grilled Lamb Kofta Kebab, Beef Shawarma Sandwich, and Vegetable Couscous.

If you’re looking for something extra to start with before lunch, try their Baba Ganoush, Goat Cheese Cigar, or Moroccan Wings as an appetizer.

I love starting with their Chorizo Empanadas and ordering their Texas Cheesesteak Sandwich, Triple Chop, or Pork Carnitas Tacos with Shells & Cheese or Tamales on the side.

If you’re looking for the perfect drink to complement your meal, try stopping by their bar for their wines on tap. I prefer their Hibiscus Mockarita mocktail.

This refined Italian restaurant offers an intimate vibe perfect for date nights or a simple dinner with friends. They also have outdoor dining and live music that enhances your dining experience.

My favorite dishes are Wild Mushroom Risotto, Linguini Pescatore, Three-Cheese Spinach Lasagna, and Chicken Parmesan.

If you’re booking a date night reservation, ask for their Stuffed Mushrooms Tagliatelle Bolognese for two.

Don’t forget to enhance your meal with a refreshing Gingered Orange Whiskey and end with a slice of Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie.
