Located on the Jersey Shore, Tom’s River is a fairly large township with property inland and right next to the coast. This spot is full of things to do and see, so it’s no surprise people visit this town from time to time. However, what is often overlooked is the restaurant scene in this community. I’ve put together a list of my favorite places to eat so you’ll have sort of a guide to cuisine in this town.

There’s so many delicious plates to try at Il Giardinello, so you really can’t go wrong here. Be sure to try the chef’s special pasta, veal rossini, homemade manicotti, or shrimp francese. Don’t forget to check out their dessert options!

The menu at Shut Up and Eat is incredibly extensive, so if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, try out the caramel, walnut, and apple waffles, fluffernutter stuffed french toast, Hawaiian burger, Miggie’s buffalo chicken wrap, or swiss, apples, and bacon grilled cheese!

If you look Japanese cuisine, you’re going to love Xina Restaurant. This local spot serves everything from sushi to traditional Japanese dishes. And with a BYOB policy, you’ll save a bit of money here too!
Xina Restaurant’s menu offers all sorts of tasty dishes and appetizers to try with friends or a date. We recommend the sizzling cumin lamb chops, orange beef, forever roll, or angry dragon roll. Make sure to try some milk pie or Japanese mochi for dessert!

You’ll find all of your favorite Italian dishes on Tardi’s menu. Be sure to try the chicken giambotto, grilled black angus prime sirloin steak, fusilli alla davina, or sole francaise. Don’t forget to grab a homemade cannoli or tiramisu on your way out!

In the mood for a vacation but don’t have the time? A quick trip to Bahama Breeze should do the trick. This chain restaurant serves Caribbean cuisine and tropical cocktails you have to try. With a beach theme, you’ll feel like you’ve hopped on a plane and landed on an island.

Though it’s located in a small strip mall, FAMISHED Eatery is a spot you won’t want to skip out on. This little restaurant serves burgers, sandwiches, and other classic American dishes. Reviewers love the delicious food and friendly service here.
The menu at FAMISHED Eatery is pretty modest, but just as tasty. We recommend the redux burger, caesar burger, chicken tenders, or any of the sandwiches. They offer chicken or chickpea patties for the sandwiches!

Boasting hundreds of positive reviews, Royal Grill 37 is a wonderful choice for a meal. Offering Middle Eastern cuisine, this is the perfect place to try something new. With great food, service, and prices, there’s really nothing this spot can’t do.
Royal Grill 37’s menu is full of delicacies and even a few vegetarian and gluten-free options. Be sure to try the lamb gyro, tandoori chicken, mix deluxe, or deluxe veggie platter. Don’t forget to order some grape leaves or falafel on the side!
Fiore Rosso Restaurant & Catering

Opened over four decades ago, Fiore Rosso Restaurant & Catering is yet another spectacular spot. This family-owned and operated restaurant serves traditional Italian cuisine and is now in the hands of the family’s third generation.
Fiore Rosso serves classic dishes as well as more innovative ones, so there’s plenty to taste. Try out the Dannonell’s special, chicken papa, penne Nicky, or seafood Eden. Make sure to bring a bottle of wine as this spot is BYOB!

Rounding out our list of restaurants is Villa Amalfi. This local restaurant serves delicious Italian cuisine and is quite popular among residents. With an Amalfi-themed interior, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Italy.
Choose from pasta, fish, and meat dishes to find your new favorite at Villa Amalfi. We recommend the gnocchi margherita, grilled Berkshire porkchop, scallopini saltimbocca romana, or granchi Mediterranean. Be sure to sip on a dessert martini or finish your meal with a cannoli!
