Havana Central Times Square is one of the greatest restaurants near Times Square for some authentic, classic Cuban food, right off of West 46th Street, just a couple blocks east of the New York Marriot Marquis 4-star hotel. Havana Central Times Square is a delightful Cuban restaurant with a retro 80s Miami vibe to it that we absolutely love along with a massive menu of classic Cuban cuisine, including a tasty Cuban sandwich. We definitely recommend trying a classic Cuban sandwich with delicious mojo pork here at Havana Central, but they have so many other phenomenal foods and refreshing cocktails that you can’t go wrong.


Junior’s Restaurant & Bakery

Junior’s Restaurant and Bakery is up next and they are easily one of our favorite restaurants in Times Square for a slice of classic New York cheesecake, but you can also get breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, too. You can find Junior’s Restaurant and Bakery off of 45th Street, right next to the Minskoff Theatre and across the street from the famous Paramount Building. When you go there, cheesecake should be the top priority, but we highly recommend ordering one of their incredible steak burgers to enjoy at their full bar.


Tony’s Di Napoli

Tony’s Di Napoli is a fantastic Italian restaurant and it’s within walking distance to Times Square. Perfect to grab some delicious Italian food. Look for Tony’s Di Napoli off of West 43rd Street inside the Casablanca Hotel by Library Collection 4-star hotel. They have all the pasta and garlic bread you could ever want here at Tony’s Di Napoli, and we strongly recommend trying anything off of their veal or chicken menu, especially the parmigiana and piccata.

The Terrace

The Terrace is one of the best restaurants near Times Square if you want a truly enchanting meal of French cuisine in the city. You can find The Terrace on the 9th floor of The Times Square EDITION, an upscale and luxurious 5-star hotel, and only a couple of minutes’ walk from 2 different subway stations, making for ease of transportation. When you dine at The Terrace, we recommend trying their porterhouse steak or their filet mignon, but they have astounding pasta dishes as well a spectacular duck breast.

Margon is another one of the best restaurants in Times Square if you need a quick, delicious bite to eat from a fast, fresh counter-serve spot that has some of the greatest sandwiches in New York City. If all of that appeals to you, then check out Margon off of West 46th Street, just 2 blocks south of the 47-50th Streets Rockefeller Center subway station and the world-famous Rockefeller Center. When you stop by Margon, make sure to try one of their many delicious specialty sandwiches. They have a steak sandwich, chicken sandwich, tuna sandwich, and many more that will be sure to hit the spot for a quick, fresh lunch.

Los Tacos No. 1 is a local favorite near Times Square if you want some great Mexican food and they’re located off of West 43rd Street near the Lyric Theatre, just a block away from the New Amsterdam Theatre, right next to the Bowlmor Times Square bowling alley and sports bar. We love Los Tacos No. 1 because of the ultra-convenient location of the restaurant in the Theater District, surrounded by so many great attractions. We highly recommend ordering a delicious cheese quesadilla, or maybe a chicken quesadilla for some extra protein, but the most popular menu item they have is tacos, and once you try one, you will see why.


Prime Catch

Prime Catch might be one of our favorite places to eat in NYC overall, thanks to their huge selection of prime, dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood. If you’re looking for one of the best steakhouses in New York City, then Prime Catch should be at the top of your list of places to visit near Times Square because they have all the steak you could ever want, including ribeye, New York strip, filet mignon, porterhouse, and even a massive tomahawk steak.

Patzeria Perfect Kitchen

No trip to NYC is complete without a delicious slice of pizza, and not only do we think it’s one of the perfect places to get pizza near Times Square, but they’re one of the top Times Square restaurants, in general. Check out Patzeria Perfect Pizza off of West 46th Street next to Sony Hall and the Paramount 4-star hotel, just across the street from the massive Marquis Theatre, so it’s a phenomenal place for dinner after a Broadway show.


R Lounge

R Lounge is one of the best restaurants in Times Square if you want an unbeatable view of the city while you enjoy a delicious, gourmet meal. They have a great happy hour here if you’re in the mood for hand-crafted cocktails or premium wines, but the food is really what shines here. We highly recommend trying their seared salmon or their grilled Angus burger, but save room for dessert because you should definitely try their key lime pie or raspberry cheesecake.


Sushi Lab

Sushi Lab is an elegant sushi restaurant located inside the Sanctuary Hotel New York and one of the most delicious spots around Times Square if you’re looking for masterfully crafted sushi and flights of sake or Japanese whiskey. Look for Sushi Lab off of West 47th Street, right next to the 47-50th Streets Rockefeller Center subway station and the world-famous Rockefeller Plaza, just a block north of the Disney Store toy store.


Dos Caminos

This next place, Dos Caminos, is one of the best restaurants in Times Square, we think, and definitely a perfect place to eat within walking distance of Broadway Avenue theaters and other fun attractions like Father Duffy Square. Dos Caminos is an incredible Mexican restaurant that is basically heaven for anyone that loves margaritas and tequila, but their food is absolutely delectable, as well. We recommend trying their ceviche to start with when you come to Dos Caminos, and then we recommend moving into a few tacos or some steak and shrimp enchiladas.

Tender Steak & Sushi

Next up is Tender Steak and Sushi, they are easily one of the best restaurants in Times Square when we’re in the mood for tender steak and fresh sushi, as their name implies. Tender Steak and Sushi is located almost directly across the street from the Rockefeller Center and is a short walk to the 47-50th Streets Rockefeller Center subway station, making travel to and from this restaurant extremely convenient. When you get there, be sure to start with their edamame or rock shrimp appetizers, but save room for their delicious grilled steaks, including cuts such as ribeye, New York strip, filet mignon, and a mighty tomahawk steak.


Hunt & Fish Club

Hunt and Fish Club located off of West 44th Street in the Theater District is another great spot to grab some food when visiting Times Square. They specialize in steak, caviar, seafood, and other decadent luxuries here at this amazing Times Square steakhouse, so be sure to come on a very empty stomach because these steaks will fill you up quickly. If you’re not in the mood for steak, they also offer a wide variety of homemade pasta dishes like clam linguine and shellfish like Alaskan king crab.


Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. off of Broadway Avenue in the Paramount Building, right next to the Hard Rock Café is another great spot. Even though it’s a chain, if you’re hungry and in Times Square, this restaurant is great for convenience. We love Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. because they have so much fresh seafood and the atmosphere is fun and lively with their Southern nautical theme. We recommend their fried fish n’ chips here at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., but they have plenty of other Southern delicacies like fried chicken and, of course, tons of delicious shrimp.


Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

A popular place for a great family dinner is Olive Garden. Again, another chain restaurant, but if you are among the hustle and bustle of Times Square, this place is convenient. Right in Times Square, it’s usually pretty easy to get a seat and you won’t find a long wait time. You can find the Olive Garden in Times Square on the first floor of the Renaissance New York Times Square 4-star hotel, just across the street from Hershey’s Chocolate World, so it’s a perfect family destination in NYC. Of course, whenever we go to Olive Garden, it’s hard not to fill up on the unlimited breadsticks, but they also have delicious Italian favorites like chicken parmesan and lasagna!
