Have you ever been to Barcelona or dream of going there someday? Then, experience the Barcelona vibe in St. Petersburg with a visit to Ceviche. The atmosphere here is lively and social, and it’s perfect for spending time with family and friends.

Head over to Ceviche for Tapas Tuesday at least once during your St. Petersburg vacation. This restaurant also has an excellent wine menu, and Happy Hour is always a hit. In addition, the Latin-style bar is great for making memories.

The dinner menu is full of delicious options. I ordered the Ceviche De La Casa, and I enthusiastically recommend it.

It features the freshest ever shrimp, squid, market fish, and scallops, prepared with garlic, peppers, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro.

The Mill is one of the St. Petersburg restaurants I heartily urge you to try. There’s a reason Florida Trend Magazine voted this establishment the Best New Restaurant in Florida.

The Mill’s Downtown St. Petersburg location serves lunch and dinner, as well as weekend brunch.

Enjoy more than one meal at this popular local restaurant if you have the time. I had brunch here one Sunday, and it really hit the spot.

You’ve got to try the Fluffer Nutter French Toast. And if you’re planning a dinner at The Mill, make sure to book your table as soon as possible!

There’s a lot of buzz in St. Pete about Brick & Mortar, a laidback local restaurant with a plethora of great dishes. The food is always well-presented, and the waitstaff is friendly and welcoming.

Brick & Mortar features impressive New American cuisine, as well as a wine bar. You can enjoy craft beer here, too.

With the lovely St. Petersburg weather, you will love the outdoor seating options available here. But what should you order? After all, there are so many tempting options.

I heard locals praise several Brick & Mortar dishes, including the Short Rib Fat Noodles, Beef Carpaccio, Braised Short Ribs, and Burger with Truffle Fries.

Noble Crust is an iconic St. Pete location for Deep South Italian pizza. Personally, I’m a huge pizza fan, and Noble Crust was one of the first restaurants I tried. And I definitely wasn’t disappointed. This is some of the best pizza you’ll find anywhere.

There are plenty of menu options beyond pizza, too. For example, you can order meatballs, one of the most popular dishes here. When it comes to salad, my favorite is the Caesar.

There are also meat dishes, including the Double Cut Pork Chop and Short Rib Benny. On top of all that, Noble Crust offers a pleasant decor experience, with large windows that let you watch the world go by.

Without question, Bacchus Wine Bistro is an essential destination for wine enthusiasts. But even if you’re new to wine appreciation, the staff here will make you feel comfortable and help you get acquainted with understanding wine and accompanying dishes.

One of my favorite foods on the planet is smoked salmon, so I made sure to try the smoked salmon offered here. It was delectable, and you should certainly try it when you go to Bacchus Wine Bistro.

Mazzaro’s Italian Market

Italian is one of my favorite cuisines, and that is why I made the trip to Mazzaro’s Italian Market. This traditional yet upscale market offers all the Italian foods you can dream of.

If you’re looking for prepared and deli foods, they have more than 75 options here. The cheeses here are also in abundance, with more than 300 varieties.

Mazzaro’s Italian Market is more than just a market: it’s a unique experience. I truly felt like I had been transported across the Atlantic to Italy.

This well-known eating spot is located just a few miles from The Dali Museum, a museum dedicated to the famous 20th-century Spanish artist Salvador Dali.

Rococo Steak

Rococo Steak is one of the best destinations for steak in the St. Petersburg area. It’s an American steakhouse with a twist, the restaurant creators calling its unique approach Rococo Steak.

This restaurant prides itself on its top-notch ingredients. Of course, the steak menu is most notable. The Filet Mignon and dry Aged Porterhouse are truly stuff of legends.

Check out the Steak Enhancements menu, with additions you can use to adorn your steak. I added the Truffle Butter to my mouth-watering Filet Mignon.

There are many other impressive dishes too, such as Rack of Lamb, Seasonal Fish, and Miso Salmon.

Chief’s Creole Café

Chief’s Creole Cafe is the St. Petersburg spot for cajun and creole cuisines. If comfort food is what you want, this restaurant is one to try. Chief’s Creole Cafe offers a comfortable and stylish atmosphere, including outdoor seating.

When I had lunch at Chief’s Creole Cafe, I tried the Crawfish and Gumbo. Both are popular dishes at Chief’s Creole Cafe.

Other well-known dishes are the Red Beans and Rice and Spicy Jambalaya, as well as the Crawfish Fritters. If you love soup, try Corn Chowder soup.

No matter what you order at Chief’s Creole Cafe, you’re guaranteed to experience a mouth-watering meal.

On the roof of The Birchwood, a boutique hotel and dining destination in St. Petersburg, sits The Canopy. The experience here is decidedly upscale, so it’s the perfect place for a decadent treat.

This rooftop lounge has decor equal to any you will experience anywhere, even the most luxurious resorts.

The Canopy Rooftop Lounge features luxurious touches like fire pits and private cabanas. Over the glass railing await breathtaking views of Beach Drive, Straub Park, downtown St. Petersburg, and Tampa Bay.

The menus here match the elevated decor and atmosphere. While the food genres are casual, they are prepared to meet the most exacting standards. Accompany your meal with one of the signature cocktails The Canopy offers.

Whether you head to The Library Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or brunch, you’re sure of enjoying a satisfying meal. This restaurant is also known for its coffee bar, as well as its tea and sweet pastries.

The Library is an especially great choice for weekend brunch, which takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 9 in the morning all the way until 4 in the afternoon.

You’ll like brunch here whether you tend to prefer breakfast foods or the kinds of sandwiches that are perfect for lunch.

In my opinion, the French Toast Stack is the best Breakfast and Brunch dish at The Library. This delectably sweet and gooey dish is lavished with maple syrup and includes warm Nutella, candied pecans, clotted cream, and fresh berries.

Final Thoughts

St. Petersburg delivers in so many ways as a tourist destination, and the food scene is a big part of it.

Moreover, you’re probably going to spend lots of time outdoors and on the beach during your dream St. Petersburg, Florida vacation. In that case, I recommend checking out the best waterfront restaurants St. Petersburg has to offer, as well.
