Our favorite spots to eat around the area.

When you’re visiting Florida’s Atlantic Coast, chances are that you’ll at least pass through Pompano Beach if it isn’t your end destination.

This city is gorgeous, so if you find yourself passing through, definitely stop off and enjoy yourself a bit.

Pompano Beach is full of beautiful beaches, sprawling golf courses, an amazing offshore coral reef, and so much more.

You can even do a bit of gambling at the Isle Casino Pompano Park. All that stuff is wonderful, but the real reason you’re going to want to visit Pompano Beach is the restaurant scene.

You can find anything you want to eat, no matter what you’re in the mood for. From seafood restaurants to steakhouses, and everything in between.

You can find it right down below on my guide to all the best places to eat in Pompano Beach to make all your culinary dreams come true.

La Perla di Pompano

420 N Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach, FL 33062

La Perla di Pompano is up next and this place is another amazing Italian joint in the area that will not let you down.

This restaurant is fantastic for traditional Sicilian dishes in a cozy atmosphere.

La Perla di Pompano is a family-owned and operated establishment and you can really tell by the quality of the food.

I recommend the fried calamari to start with, but then you should definitely check out the special of the day for your entree. They always have something tasty to offer there.

Check out La Perla di Pompano on North Federal Highway, right around the corner from the Pompano Community Park.

Calypso | Restaurant & Raw Bar

Coming away with the number-one spot on my list of places to eat is Calypso. Calypso is a restaurant and raw bar that will blow you away with all of their amazingly fresh seafood and their Jamaican jerk dishes.

I love coming to Calypso. They never disappoint here. You can find them off of South Cypress Road in the Garden Isles Shopping Center, just south of the Publix Super Market at Pine Lake Plaza.

When you come here, I highly recommend either curry or jerk chicken, but anything with seafood will also be delicious.

Gianni’s

Up next is Gianni’s and this one is always a real treat. When you want some authentic Italian cuisine, Gianni’s has you covered all the way.

One thing I highly recommend from the menu here is the veal parmigiana, but I’ve also tried the fra diavolo and the mussels marinara and found them to be superb.

You can’t really go wrong with anything you order here, honestly.

Check out Gianni’s off of East Atlantic Boulevard. Keep your eyes peeled because it can be easy to miss this place, but you really don’t want to.

This next restaurant is called The Foundry and those of you who have had the pleasure of dining here should find this very unsurprising. When you eat here, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a great experience.

The Foundry is immensely popular among locals and visitors alike. You can come here for delicious food and strong cocktails whenever you need to loosen your tie a bit.

The Foundry can be found off of East Atlantic Boulevard, just a couple of minutes west from the sandy shores of Pompano Beach. It’s the perfect location for dinner after a day in the sun.

La Vie Lebanese Restaurant

This next place is the ultimate dining destination for when you want to try something out of the ordinary.

Unless eating delicious Lebanese cuisine is a regular thing for you. If that’s the case, you’re going to love this place even more, probably.

La Vie Lebanese Restaurant actually serves up many different types of Mediterranean fare, including shawarma, mezza, kabobs, and much more.

One of my personal favorite dishes is their lamb tagine. It’s a dish with very unique flavor complex that I don’t often see at many restaurants. I highly recommend it when you come to La Vie.

Checkers Old Munchen

Something you may not have been expecting to find in Pompano Beach is German cuisine, but Checkers Old Munchen has exactly that, and more. When you’re in the mood for a few beers and brats, this is the place to come to.

I always come here when I want to relax with a pint and some traditional German food. I really enjoy their schnitzel, but the menu is huge and I usually like to try something new every time I visit.

Look for Checkers Old Munchen off of East Atlantic Boulevard, just west of the Publix Super Market at Pompano Shopping Center.

Cafe Maxx

2601 E Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062

Visit Website

Next up is Cafe Maxx. This restaurant is a fine-dining establishment that many people might not be familiar with.

It’s a small that’s big on flavor, and they provide a dining experience like no other.

Cafe Maxx has one of the greatest wine selections I came across during my time in Pompano Beach.

No matter what you order from the menu, you can find the perfect bottle to complement the flavor profile of the dish.

You can Find Cafe Maxx off of East Atlantic Boulevard on the corner of Harbor Drive, right across from the Publix Super Market at Pompano Shopping Center.

Beach House

270 N Pompano Beach Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
Phone: 954-607-6530
Visit Website

Next up, we have Beach House. This is easily one of the best beachfront restaurants in town, especially because it’s conveniently located right next to the Pompano Beach Pier.

If you’ve been fishing all day on the pier nearby and didn’t catch anything, this is the perfect place to come to for some consolation seafood and drinks.

I strongly suggest sitting at the bar on the second floor to enjoy a breathtaking view while you eat and drink.

Surf n’ turf is the way to go here, but the menu has lots of other options if you’re not looking to splurge like that.

The Rusty Hook Tavern

125 N Riverside Dr, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
Phone: 954-941-2499
Visit Website

The Rusty Hook Tavern is next and this one has everything you need for an unforgettable night out to dinner.

You can find The Rusty Hook Tavern inside the Sands Harbor Resort & Marina on North Riverside Drive, but even if you’re not staying at the hotel, you definitely need to make it a point to eat here.

I highly recommend sitting outside and starting with some of the ceviche. It’s so fresh and tasty I couldn’t get enough of it. For an entree, I had the 48-hour braised lamb shank and it was simply mind-blowing.

Casareccio Italian Trattoria Tapas Vino

1386 S Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
Phone: 954-998-3642
Visit Website

Casareccio Italian Trattoria Tapas Vino is quite a mouthful to say, but boy is this place phenomenal.

No one does Sicilian cuisine like Casareccio, if you ask me, and you’ll see what I mean once you pay them a visit.

This family owned trattoria puts so much care and effort into every dish that everything tastes amazing and homemade. You’ll feel like part of la famiglia when you come here, that’s for sure.

I highly recommend a glass of wine to get you started, as is the Italian way. The menu changes every week here though, so you never know what they’ll have!

Cafe Brie

Parking lot, 2765 E Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
Phone: 954-532-7800

Laslty, I want to talk about Cafe Brie. This charming little cafe is one of the absolute best breakfast joints in the whole city, no contest. Any day that starts with a meal at Cafe Brie is sure to be a great day.

If you’re a brunch fanatic, then you’ll love this place, especially if you enjoy a drink with your midday meal.

They serve some of the best eggs benedict in the area, and what could go better with that than a mimosa?

Check out Cafe Brie off of East Atlantic Boulevard, right before the E Atlantic Blvd ICW Drawbridge.
