Located just 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis, the suburb of Chesterfield, Missouri, is anything but sleepy! Known for their sparkling parks, you’ll stay busy and work up quite an appetite.
While in Chesterfield, check out everything there is to do at Faust Park. The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly Museum will take your breath away. Make sure to take a picture with the beautiful concrete butterfly wing statue out front. Walk through the giant art installation at Central Park. I recommend ordering off the “date night to-go” menu from Yaya’s Euro Bistro and having a picnic at River’s Edge Park on the banks of the Missouri River.

This choice is a laid-back, family-owned restaurant. Stick with a classic and go with their steak menu. Every plate comes with buttered golden Yukon potatoes and locally farmed produce. I recommend rounding off your meal with a warm slice of house-made apple pie topped with cinnamon ice cream.
Rock & Brews St. Louis

Rock & Brews is also in the heart of the Chesterfield Commons Shopping Center near Boones Crossing on Chesterfield Airport Road. This Rock and Roll themed chain on our list of Chesterfield restaurants is a unique experience for the beer and classic American comfort food lover. Founded by Dave and Dell Furano, the brothers dreamed of owning a restaurant while they worked as concert promoters for bands like the Grateful Dead and the Rolling Stones. Now, over a decade later, you can enjoy a pint and an Ultimate Burger while listening to great music.
Think rock-and-roll memorabilia, full-sleeve tattoos, and classic American bar food with a twist. Guests rave over the Strawberry Fields salad with feta cheese, candied walnuts, and, of course, strawberries. A favorite is the soft pretzel, and we can’t help but note how well it goes with a hoppy pilsner. Make sure to check the rotating tap list.

54th Street prides itself in serving the classics Americans love but taking it up a notch by making everything in-house from scratch daily. I suggest trying out the Rattlesnake Pasta with shrimp and chicken or the Baby Back and Chicken Fingers Combo Platter. They also have an excellent children’s menu.

For the family looking for where to eat in Chesterfield, check out Syberg’s, located on Chesterfield Airport Road and Public Works Road in the Chesterfield Commons Shopping Center. This is a great stop for the sports fan with their wall-to-wall screens.
I recommend starting with the delicious Toasted Ravioli. Watch whatever game is playing while the whole family digs into a Syberg’s Signature Chicken Pizza. Don’t forget to check the website before you come. On Tuesday evenings, there’s a balloon twister on the premises, and kids eat free. Come Wednesdays for a fun trivia night or catch live music performances on the weekend.

The Shack Breakfast & Lunch is a quirky local place located on Clayton Road between Baxter Road and Wildwood Parkway near Logan University. For foodies looking where to get food in Chesterfield, this is a fun stop. The owners have a cute story about how they accidentally started The Shack Breakfast & Lunch. It’s the kind of place where they ask you to write all over the walls.
The platters have names like “Gringo Killer” and “Why the French Hate Us.” I recommend the “Notorious B.N.G.,” their twist on classic biscuits and gravy. Also, consider a Captain Crunch milkshake or a spicy bloody mary. They also have a gluten-free menu.

If you need help ordering or don’t like spicy food, the staff at the Curry Club is more than willing to guide you. The Curry Club is popular for its dosas. They even have chocolate dosas for kids! I recommend the biryani, which comes with either chicken or vegetarian.

Established in 2002 by Suchin Prapaisilp and Head Chef Hama-san, Oishi strives to offer the highest quality Japanese food to St. Louis.
Choose from all kinds of sushi rolls or hibachi, and have fun with the chef at your hibachi table. Select from their classic sushi menu or go for the dragon roll if you are a first-timer. A fixture in Chesterfield, Wente’s sits on the corner of Chesterfield Airport Boulevard and Goddard Avenue across from the Spirit of St. Louis Airport. After Chesterfield and the Gumbo Flats were flooded out in 1993, the Wente family joined the community and rebuilt. In 1994, Wente’s opened and made our list of the best restaurants in Chesterfield.

EdgeWild consciously uses local and regional sources, creating classic American dishes and modern takes on traditional plates. I suggest starting with the green apple cashew salad and then ordering the Pork Volcano. Note that they have a separate lunch and dinner menu.
Paul Manno’s Restaurant
75 Forum Shopping Center, Chesterfield, MO 63017
Check out Paul Manno’s Restaurant on Olive Boulevard in the Forum Shopping Center. We had to include this traditional Italian establishment with deep roots in St. Louis on our list of best restaurants in Chesterfield. When you walk into Paul Manno’s, you feel welcome. People from the neighborhood have stories of meeting Mr. Manno in the 90s and consider the restaurant a hidden gem.
Like with true homemade Italian food, you can tell the love and quality that has gone into every dish. Keeping it simple, start with the roasted peppers and mozzarella and order the rigatoni alla pic-pac. If you want something special, order the filet mignon gorgonzola.
