The land of the pine holds a special place in my heart, and I have many fond memories of this state and Charlotte in particular.

I spent a great deal of time in Charlotte when I was younger.

Some of my favorite memories are of eating with my family.

Charlotte has some great restaurants, and Greek food is one of my favorites.

Over the course of many dinners, I created a list of the best Greek restaurants in Charlotte.

I’m starting this list with a family favorite.

Showmars is a chain restaurant that serves southern and Greek fusion, and you have not lived until you have tried this combination.

Thankfully, there are locations all over Charlotte, so you are never far from this incredible combination.

The menu has a wide variety of options, but the fish sandwich and onion rings are my favorite.

The decor is nothing fancy, but it’s comfortable and inviting.

Showmars is the perfect place to go when you’re looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.


Greco Fresh Grille

Greco Fresh Grille is another fantastic restaurant located in the greater Charlotte area.

Greco serves authentic Greek food straight from the mother country.

Greco Fresh Grille is the perfect place to go if you want a truly authentic Greek experience.

My favorite thing about Greco is the huge portions.

I always leave feeling stuffed.

The decor is also very nice. It’s modern and sleek without being too formal.

I highly recommend the lamb gyro.

It’s filling, and the tzatziki and the lamb go together perfectly.


Ilios Noche

Ilios Noche is an upscale Greek restaurant near the intersection of Golf Links dr. and Providence Rd. in the Providence Crossing neighborhood.

It is not far from Flat Branch Park and Colonel Francis Beatty Park.

Ilios Noche is upscale without being intimidating.

The decor is welcoming, and the food is incredible.

I highly recommend the spinach pie and the grilled octopus.

The Mad Greek of Charlotte deserves a spot on this list of the Best Greek Restaurants in Charlotte based on name alone.

You can find this casual Greek restaurant on South Blvd near Marion Diehl Park and the Harry L. Jones Sr. Golf Course.

The Mad Greek is the perfect place to go when looking for a good meal without breaking the bank. The portions are large, and the food is tasty.

I highly recommend the lamb shank and the spanakopita.

The lamb shank falls off the bone tender, and the spanakopita is the best I’ve had outside of Greece.

If you want something lighter, try the hummus and grape leaves.

The hummus is the best in the city, and the grape leaves and savory and delicious.

Nefelie’s is a Greek-American bar in the heart of Charlotte.

You can find it on the corner of S. Church Street and W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, and it is known for its big gyros and delicious veggie dishes.

I highly recommend the Greek salad and the lemon pepper chicken.

Don’t skip the fried okra, either.

The decor is dark and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax with a drink and some good food.

It’s close to McAlpine Creek and Big Rock Nature Preserve.

Zeitouni is a family-owned restaurant that cooks its food over an open fire.

The smell when you walk in is incredible, and you can tell the recipes have been in the family for generations.

I highly recommend the tabbouleh and the grape leaves.

If you want something heavier, try out the chicken kabob.

Ilios Crafted Greek is a new greek restaurant in Charlotte.

It’s in the Wilmore neighborhood on S Church St and W Summit Ave, not far from Bank of America Stadium and Latta Park.

Ilios Crafted Greek proves that you can enjoy the delights of authentic Greek food while still eating healthy.

The portions are smaller here, but they’re the perfect size if you’re looking for a light meal.

I highly recommend the pork sandwich.

Don’t forget to order the roasted beets as a side. The beets are incredible.

If you’re looking for a Best Greek Restaurant in Charlotte that’s a little bit off the beaten path, Estia’s Kouzina is the perfect spot for you.

This hidden gem is in the small town of Belmont, about 30 minutes from Charlotte.

Kouzina is a family-owned restaurant, and the family’s love for food shines through in every dish.

The menu is small but mighty, and everything is delightful.

I highly recommend the lamb chops and the grilled eggplant.

Kouzina also offers rotisserie chicken that falls off the bone.


Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe – Charlotte- Providence

Taziki’s is a casual spot perfect for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner.

The food is fresh and flavorful, and there’s something for everyone on the menu.

I highly recommend the chicken gyro and the roasted salmon.

Don’t sleep on the cucumber and tomato salad, either.

The best part about Taziki’s is that it’s incredibly affordable.
