Avenues Proper is the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. With a wide selection of local beers on tap, you can find the perfect beer to pair with your food.
Plus, the space is huge and accommodating of larger parties, so you and your friends can swing by without having to worry about moving tables or splitting up.
You’ll find Avenues Proper in North Salt Lake City, next door to Intermountain Healthcare LDS Hospital.
Served every Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Avenues Proper has an extensive brunch menu with everything from small plates and boozy beverages to large meals and salads.
If you happen to make your way over to the joint, I suggest the brisket hash for a bigger meal or sharing the turkish eggs and biscuits and jam small plates.
Bruges Belgian Bistro
Welcome to Bruges Belgian Bistro, where you can enjoy a delicious taste of Europe without ever leaving town.
The quaint little restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for tourists, businesspeople and locals alike.
The made-to-order meals are fresh, natural and delicious, and the restaurant offers a variety of traditional Belgian dishes that are sure to please everyone.
However, if you’re looking for a recommendation, I recommend getting the delicious yet quirky waffle monster or the chicken and waffle. Plus, you have to try the “Best of Utah” Belgian fries.

Looking for a unique and enchanting brunch experience? Look no further than Oasis Cafe, located in the heart of Salt Lake City and just a couple of blocks from the main convention center.
The spot offers beautiful patio, private breezeway, and lavish dining room seating, making it the ideal brunch restaurant for an intimate dinner for two or a large gathering.
Oasis Cafe serves brunch daily until 3 p.m. and offers dishes that are sure to please all foodies. My favorite brunch dish has to be the Oasis Scramble, which comes with a flaky croissant and eggs scrambled with delicious veggies and cream cheese. However, you can’t go wrong with their frittata of the day either.
Eggs In the City
2795 S 2300 E, Millcreek, UT 84109
Eggs in the City is a casual neighborhood staple in Salt Lake City down the street from Tanner Park.
It’s only been around since 2004 but quickly became a popular brunch destination thanks to its relaxed environment and indoor and outdoor seating.
Plus, they’re open 7-days a week, making it an optimal choice for when you can’t wait until the weekend for brunch.
Whenever I’m in town, my friends and I usually gorge on the locally roasted coffee and fresh pastries before digging into a hearty meal.
I highly recommend the Mexican skillet for brunch because it gives you the best of both lunch and breakfast with its flavors.
The Park Café
604 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84105
Park Cafe is a local favorite, serving up classic comfort food in a warm and inviting atmosphere that features local and state memorabilia.
Plus, with its prime location across the street from Liberty Park, diners can enjoy beautiful views while they eat. The space inside is quaint with table and bar seating to accommodate parties of varying sizes.
When you visit Park Cafe, you have to try the FTF (French Toast Foolishness), it’s always my go-to order because it comes with sweet french toast and savory bacon and eggs to satisfy all of my cravings.
Plus, Park Cafe offers vegetarian and vegan dishes, including the Trippy Hippy Vegan Hash and veggie omelet if you have any dietary constraints.
Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade
54 W 1700 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84115
With three locations in Utah, this local brunch favorite can’t be beat. Renowned for its limeade variations and friendly atmosphere, Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade has solidified itself as a must visit brunch destination in the area.
It’s the optimal spot for quaint, quiet get togethers with friends or family to catch up over a delicious meal and a frosty beverage.
Obviously, you have to try the limeade when you visit Sweet Lake Biscuite & Limeade. My personal favorite is the raspberry limeade, and I usually get it with the Biscuit Bar brunch meal. However, i’ve also had their habanero hot coco, which goes great with the Conspiracy Cakes.
Penny Ann’s Cafe
Penny Ann’s Cafe started as a small family cafe in New York before moving and opening 2 locations in the Salt Lake City area, including South Main St. and West 5400 South.
The environment inside is immediately welcoming, warm, and friendly, making it one of my favorite spots to visit when I’m in the area and want to grab a low key brunch with some friends.
Since Penny Ann’s Cafe is known as “the home of the heavenly hot stacks,” you absolutely have to try the pancakes. Every bite I take of these fluffy delights is better than the last and I always leave my plate squeaky clean.

Oquirrh is a little bit more of an upscale brunch experience in Downtown Salt Lake City with eloquently plated dishes served in a modern industrial setting.
Oquirrh Restaurant offers banquette seating, but please keep in mind that parties over 6 people will need to make reservations for brunch ahead of time.
If you went a little too hard on a Friday night, I think you might want to try Oquirrh’s hangover pasta, complete with spaghetti, sausage, eggs, cheese and hot sauce.
