The cafe is open from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm daily. Its creative dishes and tasty cocktails make it a great place for brunch.

I enjoy the jalapeno popper omelet with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and salsa.

Another popular brunch item is the Almond Joy Pancakes with toasted coconut, chocolate chips, and toasted almonds.

The Butter Cafe offers specialty brunch cocktails.

My favorite is the Blood Orange Screwdriver.

Lily’s Dayton is a farm-to-table restaurant serving southern-style dishes in an elegant setting. It’s one of the finest restaurants in the whole city.

The restaurant opens for brunch at 10:00 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The restaurant is near the Oregon District, just a few blocks from the Dayton Convention Center.

When I visited, I enjoyed the Café du Monde style beignets and the lox bagel with herb cream cheese, smoked salmon, pickled red onion, capers, and cucumbers.

Other brunch favorites include the fried chicken and waffle sandwich with maple-cayenne butter.

My favorite cocktail is the Rhu-Barbara with Reyka vodka, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, rhubarb syrup, rhubarb bitters, and an orange slice!

Lucky’s Taproom & Eatery is a casual restaurant with a chill vibe.

It is located downtown and is open daily at 11:00 AM. Lucky’s Taproom & Eatery is a great place for brunch because of its diverse menu with vegan options.

My favorite bite from Lucky’s brunch menu is the Eggs Benedict, a housemade buttermilk biscuit, topped with ham, poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce.

Other brunch favorites include the Southwest omelet with pepper jack cheese, salsa, cilantro, and sour cream.

Try the Breakfast Beast Imperial Stout by Clown Shoes Brewing Company or the Tropical Psychopathy Tropical IPA by Madtree Brewing Company.

This next brunch spot in Dayton is called Third Perk Coffeehouse & Wine Bar.

What I love about this place is that it’s right in the heart of Dayton where all the action is. There’s so much to do nearby!

I love coming here for their brunch on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. The French toast they serve here is some of the best I’ve ever had.

The Trolley Stop

The Trolly Shop is a woman-owned restaurant. The building that houses the restaurant has been a tavern since 1839.

It currently offers a pool and live music in addition to a delicious brunch.

The restaurant is open daily near downtown Dayton. Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday.

When I visited The Trolly Shop for brunch, I enjoyed the Trolley Bloody Mary, a mixture of vodka and house-made Bloody Mary Mix with an antipasto skewer!

Also, I recommend trying the Vegan Breakfast Tacos or the Ham and Cheese Bagel.

The Trolley Shop does classic breakfast perfectly with a platter of two fresh eggs, whole wheat toast, roasted potatoes, and bacon or ham.

First Watch

First Watch is a cafe that is located inside the Dayton Mall, near Interstate 75.

First Watch is a chain restaurant that is known for its breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. The restaurant is open from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM daily.

Try the Avocado Toast made with thick-cut whole-grain toast, fresh smashed avocado, lemon, sea salt, and eggs.

Other popular menu items include the smoked salmon benedict, the ham and gruyere omelet, and the lemon ricotta pancakes.

Be sure to grab a coffee; I most enjoy the cold brew coffee. You can also try a vodka kale tonic!

Meadowlark Restaurant

Meadowlark Restaurant has a modern vibe with exposed bricks.

The restaurant is located in the Woodbourne-Hyde Park neighborhood in the Lamplighter Square Shopping Center.

It is open at 11:30 AM Tuesday through Saturday.

When I visited Meadowlark Restaurant, I enjoyed the Georgia Reuben with smoked turkey, rye bread, Swiss Gruyere, and crunchy coleslaw with Russian dressing.

Try the buttermilk pancakes or the green chorizo eggs from the brunch menu.

Other guests also enjoyed the shakshuka and the Cucumber Basil Mint Soda.

Mudlick Tap House

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, and at 11:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. Mudlick Tap House identifies as woman-owned and is a super fun place to have brunch in Dayton!

Start with the Kentucky Coffee, a cocktail with bourbon cream, Tullamore Dew Butterscotch Liqueur, coffee, and whipped cream.

For brunch, try the crab hash with potatoes, bacon, crab, bell pepper, and onion with a rich cream sauce.

Other options include the Breakfast Sammy with a fried egg, bacon, tomato, American cheese, and a tangy sauce on sourdough bread.

The Brunch Club

Nothing says “brunch in Dayton” than The Brunch Club.

The eatery is located in Midtown Dayton near the river. It is open between 8:00 AM and 1:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday.

The Brunch Club is a tried and true neighborhood favorite. Try the steak and eggs or the biscuits and gravy.

Other popular menu items include the Belgian waffle with blueberry, strawberry, or whipped topping and the cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing.

The Brunch Club usually has a few varieties of quiche available on any given day.

The bakery sells biscuits, muffins, and bagels for breakfast.

Debbie’s Restaurant

Debbie’s Restaurant is nearby Eastwood Lake in Avondale.

The restaurant is open every day and offers a down-home comfortable atmosphere. This diner-style eatery has daily specials written on a whiteboard for guests to try!

I loved the fried bologna with eggs, but other breakfast options include pancakes, French toast, and a ham and cheese omelet.

The four-ounce ribeye breakfast is the ultimate steak and eggs option.

If you are in a savory mood, try the chili cheese fries and the double cheeseburger! Be sure to try the banana cream pie with a cup of coffee!

Final Thoughts

Dayton is a neat city with an expansive culinary scene.
