Where to Get Brunch in Anaheim This Weekend

Where to find your breakfast and lunch favorites like avocado toast, omelets, and iced coffee.

Anaheim, also known as the Heart of Orange County, is one of the most visited cities in California, bringing in more than 25 million visitors every year despite having a population of less than half a million.

While Disneyland is, of course, a tempting draw to visit So-Cal, I’d skip “The Happiest Place on Earth” for a killer breakfast burrito and mimosa any day.

Fortunately, Anaheim offers the best of both worlds, with plenty of brunch spots to fuel your days spent trekking through the world-famous park.

To save you the trouble of scouring travel sites for local recommendations, I put boots on the ground to make finding your new favorite brunch spot just a little bit easier.

Best Brunch in Anaheim

  1. Mimi’s Cafe
  2. Huckleberry’s Breakfast and Lunch
  3. Coco’s Bakery Restaurant
  4. Willy’s Eatery
  5. Cafe Casse Croute
  6. The Original Pancake House
  7. The Scratch Room

From Huckleberry’s Southern hospitality and Stuffed French Toast to Cafe Casse Croute’s out-of-this-world Galaxy Mimosas, I dove into a veritable cornucopia of deliciousness to bring you the best brunch in Anaheim.

Mimi’s Cafe

While Mimi’s Cafe isn’t exclusive to Anaheim, it maintains that “local hot spot” vibe that is absolutely essential for the right Sunday brunch ambiance. The $5 mimosas every Saturday and Sunday until 2:00 are a nice bonus.

It’s only a two-minute walk from Autopia in Disneyland, so you can start your day with a Quiche Florentine or Buttermilk Griddlecakes, then put the pedal to the metal without breaking a sweat.

I’m a sucker for the Farmhouse Breakfast Tacos, with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheese, jalapeno, tomato, onion, and cilantro. Smother it all in the spicy chipotle sauce, and you’ve got a fool-proof cure for even the worse hangover.

Huckleberry’s Breakfast and Lunch

If you’ve never had breakfast in the South, you’re missing out on an artery-clogging journey into flavor that is definitely worth the calories.

Huckleberry’s Breakfast and Lunch brings that same love for deep-frying, bacon grease, and butter typically reserved for the other side of the Mason-Dixon.

Huck’s, as it’s fondly referred to be patrons, is close to the STC Anaheim GardenWalk and several hotels.

Lodge at the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort, head out early for a Cajun Benedict or Tom’s Scramble, then spend your day indulging in a little retail therapy.

As far as your boozy brunch in Anaheim options, Huckleberry’s has three signature Mimosas, featuring J. Roget signature wine with your choice of huckleberry, strawberry, or orange juice. For something with a little more kick, the Bayou Bloody Mary is bold, refreshing, and garnished with crispy bacon.

Coco’s Bakery Restaurant

Along the same road as Huckleberry’s is another Cali staple, Coco’s Bakery Restaurant. They have a couple of stellar specials, including Kids Eat Free Tuesdays and Free Pie Wednesday on pickup and delivery orders.

For folks willing to shell over the cash for a kid’s meal or a slice of pie, it’s worth cozying up with the fam inside for a late morning meal. It’s outfitted with a massive bakery counter, loaded with delicious pastries like the award-winning Dutch Apple and silky Banana Cream.

As far as recommendations for what to feast on, it has to be the massive Lumberjack Breakfast. It’s a solid sampling of all the things that make brunch great, including brioche French toast, Applewood-smoked bacon, ham, sausage links, hashbrowns, and eggs however you like ’em.

Willy’s Eatery

2101 E Ball Rd, Anaheim, CA 92806
Phone: 714-535-6713

Once you’re on the west side of the Santa Ana River, continue down Ball Street and take a load off at Willy’s Eatery, a family-owned Greek-American fusion restaurant with recipes handed down through generations.

The uniquely named “Those Potatoes” are a fan-favorite order of hashbrowns sauteed with onions and bell peppers.

They’re the perfect side for Eggs Benedict Greek Touch with poached eggs, and savory lamb meatballs served over a Hollandaise-smothered English muffin.

If you’re feeling like more of the “lunch” half of brunch, the biggest draw of Willy’s is their Greek menu, with pita wraps, cold cut sandwiches, and rice plates with all the trimmings.

Cafe Casse Croute

656 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim, CA 92804
Phone: 714-774-8013

There’s no better place for brunch in Anaheim than Cafe Casse Croute, though it’s now known as 8th Haus Cafe.

You’ll find their Insta-worthy brunch mimosas and day drinks at the corner of Brookhurst and Orange.

The Galaxy Mimosa, with lavender syrup and edible glitter, is a stunning, swirling addition to their menu. Still, my personal favorite is the Haus Paloma with grapefruit juice, club soda, lime, and soju.

Their menu is an eclectic mix of stunning plates adorned with edible flowers and piped swirls of whipped cream served right alongside a selection of delicious breakfast sweets like the Haus Waffle with Nutella sauce, brulee banana, berries, and marshmallow.

The Original Pancake House

1418 E Lincoln Ave, Anaheim, CA 92805
Phone: 714-535-9815
Visit Website

The Original Pancake House, or OPH as the locals call it, is a franchise breakfast restaurant with small business hospitality. Despite having more than 100 different homes across the US, the E. Lincoln location in Anaheim is something special.

Brunch fare consists of old-school faves, like oven-baked Apple Pancakes with cinnamon-sugar glaze and traditional Corned Beef Hash and Eggs.

Their crepes feel fancy enough for a French restaurant, especially the Continental. The combo of sour cream, Triple Sec, and tropical syrup might sound strange at first blush, but the flavor is almost transcendentally delicious.

While there aren’t any boozy options, they do serve a mean glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.

The Scratch Room

2415 Lincoln Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801
Phone: 714-236-5613

If you’re planning a trip to Knott’s Berry Farm, The Scratch Room is only 8 minutes from your destination.

This casual brunch joint near the corner of N. Gilbert St. and Lincoln Ave. is a dad-and-son venture offering season from-scratch bread loaves and creative, hearty plates.

While the menu has plenty for you to choose from, you must try the Bad Hombre at least once– Tamale cakes, tender carnitas, peppers, onions, poached eggs, tomatillo sauce, cilantro, and a chipotle drizzle makes for an almost criminally scrumptious brunch bite.

For an authentic brunch experience, I recommend the Green Eggs and Ham breakfast burger. It features an onion aioli you’ll want to bottle up and take home with you, along with braised pork, onions, peppers, pepper jack cheese, tomatillo salsa, and a yolky sunny-side-up egg.

Final Thoughts

Anaheim has a lot to offer the residents and tourists alike, but you’ll need a hearty meal to help you power through long walks through theme parks, shopping in the downtown district, and soaking up some sun on the 42-miles of Orange County coastline.
