Weck’s restaurant serves American breakfast classics and lunch cuisine in a casual setting with a retro vibe.
Weck’s first opened in 1991; since then, the restaurant has expanded to serve guests at more than eleven restaurants. The restaurant is open between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm daily.
When I visited Weck’s for brunch, I enjoyed the Big Breakfast Burrito with ham, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and jack cheese covered in green chile.
Also, I recommend the buttermilk pancakes, the chicken and waffles, and the farmer’s market omelet. The chicken fried steak is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes.

The Grove Cafe & Market is a relaxed restaurant serving classic American cuisine made with organic and locally grown ingredients.
The restaurant is open in the Huning Highlands neighborhood near Highland Park and Presbyterian Hospital. Jason and Lauren Greene are the owners of The Grove Cafe & Market; Jason attended the New England Culinary Institute before opening the eatery.
I most enjoyed the organic egg white frittata with cremini mushrooms, roasted asparagus, roasted tomatoes, arugula salad, pecorino, and sourdough toast.
Another popular menu item is the Grove Pancakes, french style cakes with seasonal fresh fruit, crème Fraiche, local honey, and maple syrup.

Vic’s Daily Cafe opened in 1998 and has been serving classic American breakfast and lunch dishes ever since.
The restaurant is near the Group Nine Industrial Park and Vista Del Norte Park in Albuquerque. The cafe is excellent for families with kids and groups of people.
Try the Huevos Rancheros with two eggs cooked as you like them, on a flour tortilla with hash browns or pinto beans, green or red chile sauce, and melted cheese.
The corned beef hash is delicious and served with hash browns, seasonal fresh fruit, and buttered toast. The giant cinnamon roll is not to be missed!

When I visited Jimmy’s Cafe, I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak. Other popular items include the huevos rancheros, the breakfast enchiladas, and the green chile chicken skillet.
Another delicious brunch option is Jimmy’s Breakfast with eggs, hash browns, beans, bacon, sausage, red or green chile, and cheese.

Cafe Lush is in Downtown Albuquerque. It is a cozy spot with outdoor seating along the sidewalk.
The kitchen focuses on breakfast favorites, burgers, pizza, salads, sandwiches, and coffee. The cafe is open between Monday and Friday from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Chef Thomas Docherty and Sandy Gregory own and operate the cafe and oversee the creative and tasty dishes emerging from the kitchen.
I recommend the breakfast pizza with a sour cream scallion potato crust topped with eggs and house-made green chile. Grab a Lush Latte as well for a delicious caffeine boost!

When I visited Tia Betty Blue’s in the Parkland Hills neighborhood, I enjoyed the breakfast enchiladas with papas and beans.
I recommend ordering the Frito pie with green chile, cheese, ground beef, and a fried egg. The bacon caramel waffle, available on weekends, is a great reason to wake up for brunch.
