This family-owned restaurant is an excellent casual option for anyone interested in classic Southern barbeque dishes.

In my opinion, their best dishes are Spare Ribs, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Loaded Fries Brisket, and GBBQ Wings. I prefer ordering these dishes with a side of baked beans, candied yams, or potato salad. However, if you stop by on Friday or Saturday, you can order a beef rib plate or a single beef rib.

CorkScrew BBQ’s menu items are MSG and gluten-free. My favorites are their Rack of Pork Ribs, BOB-Bert Sandwich, Beefy Cheesy, and The Big Willie. They taste great with baked beans or cobbler of the day on the side.

Try their house-made creamed spinach, tater tot casserole, or corn pudding if you’re looking for side dish variety. Finally, don’t miss out on an after-dinner slice of Banana Caramel or Triple Chocolate Cake.

I recommend sampling their Lean Brisket, Turkey Sandwich, Home-made Beef & Pork Sausage, or Chopped Beef Sandwich with a side of onion rings, fries, or creamed corn. I prefer ordering a sweet tea to balance out my meal’s flavors and indulging in their seasonal cheesecake or banana pudding afterward.

Their menu offers BBQ dishes anyone can enjoy, from breakfast to dinner. Their Prime Rib, Pork Loin, Spicy Chop Sandwich, and Moist Brisket taste great with a side of corn-on-the-cob or a jumbo smoked potato.

If you have room for dessert, try their sweet chocolate pudding, peach cobbler, or pecan pie slice.

I prefer ordering their Three Meat BBQ Plate, Beef Ribs, Stuffed Baked Potato, or Brisket House Special with a side of cornbread, mashed sweet potato, or mustard potato salad. End your night in style with a tasty apple pie or Jorge’s Tres Leches cake if you crave something sweet.

DEMERIS BAR B Q is a rustic Texan BBQ restaurant located on West Loop North Freeway and South Shepherd Drive. You can’t miss its decorative stone and wooden exterior. This family-owned restaurant has a calm vibe, perfect for enjoying hickory-smoked meats and Tex-Mex after touring Houston’s most exciting attractions.

During my last few visits to this restaurant, I ordered their Beef and Chicken Fajita, Fried Jumbo Shrimp, Smoked Wings, and The Big Puma Tater.

My favorite sides are their Mexican Rice and Onion Rings. They also offer dining packages for Thanksgiving Family Feasts and December Holiday Prime Rib with their catering or delivery services.
