Grab a drink at these amazing bars around town.

When you’re thinking about places with beautiful beaches and clear waters, Panama City has to be up there in the top. Panama City and Panama City Beach is where you can experience the best that Florida has to offer, especially when it comes to nightlife and entertainment.

During my time in Panama City, I made it my mission to find all the best places to grab a drink and blow off some steam so that I could put together a guide to help all my fellow foodies out there. Well, I did exactly that, and I didn’t come back empty-handed.

Schooners

Coming away with the top spot on my list is a place called Schooners. You’ll find this gem over on Gulf Drive next to the Seychelles Beach Resort by Vacasa. It’s a fantastic place to grab a drink if you’re staying in the hotel nearby.

What I love about Schooners is that they’re located right on the waterfront. You’re basically close enough to reach out and touch the surf while you enjoy your drinks. Not to mention, they have some delicious food as well.

They have an extensive selection of craft beers to choose from here at Schooners, but I also encourage you to check out the assortment of beach drinks and frozen cocktails too.

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge

700 Pier Park Dr, Panama City Beach, FL 32413
Phone: 850-236-3459

Next up is another one of my favorite Panama City bars to visit while I’m in town and need a drink. Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is a fixture of PCB over in Pier Park shopping mall alongside countless other fun things to do.

When you get to Tootsie’s for a drink, I recommend trying Tootsie’s Top Shelf Margarita or a Shell Island Iced Tea, but if shots are more your thing, then definitely take a look at their unique selection of tasty shooters, or even maybe a jello shot! My favorite shooter was the PB&J shot.

Bayou on the Beach

Up next, we’re heading over towards the Shoppes at Edgewater shopping mall to a place called Bayou on the Beach. This bar and restaurant has some of the best food and drinks you’ll find down here in PCB. Once you head here, you’ll quickly see what I mean.

Besides all the tasty food on their massive menu, what I really love about Bayou on the Beach is their huge list of specialty cocktails that you can choose from. I am a huge fan of the Noli South Kumbucha Mule. It’s a unique twist on a Moscow Mule that I’ve never had before.

Tiki Bar at the Sandpiper Beacon

17403 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32413

Visit Website

The Tiki Bar at The Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort is not only an incredible place to drink, but it’s inside one of my favorite places to stay in Panama City. It’s right on Front Beach Road, so you’re literally steps away from the beautiful sugar sand beach while you kick back and quench your thirst.

Of course, when you get to Tiki Bar at the Sandpiper Beacon, you simply have to try their signature Tiki Punch drink that’s served in a souvenir pineapple cup. Of course if you need something even colder to beat the heat, try a frozen daiquiri!

Pineapple Willy’s

9875 S Thomas Dr, Panama City Beach, FL 32408
Phone: 850-235-0928
Visit Website

Pineapple Willy’s has made our lists before when talking about the most popular places to eat in Panama City, but this time I want to highlight the amazing experience you get when going there just for drinks.

Pineapple Willy’s is conveniently located right in between the Shores of Panama and the Sunbird Beach Resort hotels and it’s right on the water, so you get a great view too.

One of the coolest things you can do at Pineapple Willy’s is order a refreshing frozen daiquiri in a 30-ounce steel cup so that it stays frozen even longer in the brutal Florida heat.

Ms. Newby’s

8711 Thomas Dr, Panama City Beach, FL 32408
Phone: 850-234-0030
Visit Website

This next place is called Mrs. Newby’s Liquors and it’s located right across the street from Emerald Falls Family Rec Center on Thomas Drive, so it’s perfect for any parents who need to unwind a bit after an exciting day with the kids.

Mrs. Newby’s is a bar and liquor store all in one, so you can grab a drink there and then take a bottle to go if you want. They also have live music playing here quite often, so you can come jam out while you drink. If you’re lucky enough to be in town during Bike Week in PCB, this is the place to celebrate.

Alibi Beach Lounge & Grill

8010 Surf Dr, Panama City Beach, FL 32408
Phone: 850-588-6957

Alibi Beach Lounge & Grill is a little hole in the wall place to get drinks in Panama City Beach that’s easy to miss, but you definitely don’t want to. You’ll find Alibi Beach Lounge & Grill on the corner of Surf Drive and Chickasaw Street near Sunset Inn and Public Beach Access 16.

They’ve got all sorts of beer on tap, as well as plenty to choose from in the way of bottles and cans, so if you’re a beer drinker, you’ll have no trouble quenching your thirst here. Alibi is also a great place to grab brunch when you’re in town as well.

Craft 850

7715 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32407
Phone: 850-640-1410
Visit Website

This next place, Craft 850, is located on Front Beach Road near the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Panama City Beach and the Todd Herendeen Theatre. If you’re looking for a Panama City bar that’s nearby a nice hotel and a place to catch a show, then this is it.

Craft 850 has somewhere around 65 craft beers on tap, so if you can’t find something you like here, then maybe beer just isn’t your thing. Not to worry, though, Craft 850 also offers hand-crafted cocktails and fine spirits, as well as a wide selection of wines.

Newby’s Too

4103 Thomas Dr, Panama City, FL 32408
Phone: 850-234-6203
Visit Website

Up next is Newby’s Too, brought to you by the same owners of Ms. Newby’s Liquors. They may share a similar name, but there are some big differences between the two bars, including the location. Newby’s Too is on the south side of PCB near St. Andrew’s State Park, quite a ways from Ms. Newby’s.

Newby’s Too is more of a sports bar but they still have a liquor store inside.  I highly recommend ordering a drink of Ms Newby’s famous Hunch Punch while you’re here. It really does pack a wallop, so it’s clear why they call it punch.

Barracuda Beach

6628 Thomas Dr, Panama City Beach, FL 32408
Phone: 850-249-3343

Last, but not least, is Barracuda Beach. This place is a bar and grill that you don’t want to pass up on when you’re nearby. I love coming here at night because of how nicely they light up the place.

Barracuda Beach offers live music, delicious food, and, of course, lots to drink. You definitely must try one of their signature drinks like a Cuda Rita made with Jose Quervo, mango liqueur, sweet & sour, and lime juice. It’s absolutely to-die-for on a hot day. They also offer a variety of wines as well as cans and bottles of beer.

Final Thoughts

It’s no wonder that PCB is known for being a great place to party. Once you come and check out all the fun bars this city has to offer, it’s quite easy to see why. Hopefully, this guide will help you out the next time you want to blow off some steam and grab a few drinks on a night out in Panama City.
