Over on Florida’s East coast you’ll find a treasure trove of beautiful cities nestled into the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean. 33rd Street Wine Bar
3337 NE 33rd St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
Kicking things off on my list of Ft. Lauderdale bars to try is a place called 33rd Street Wine Bar. This palace is located over on Northeast 33rd Street, as the name implies, right around the corner from Earl Lifshey Ocean Park near the Residence Inn by Marriott.
When you come to 33rd Street Wine Bar, you get a lot of options when it comes to drinks, but wine is the specialty here. If you’re a wine-lover, then you will find yourself in heaven when you take a look at the range of bottles available on their menu.
2184 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL 33305
Next up is a place called the Infinity Lounge that you can find over off of Wilton Drive in Ft. Lauderdale. This is a great place to go for drinks when you’re in town.
I love this place because they have a great selection of food to go with your drinks if you start to get a bit hungry while you’re here, inducing salads, burgers, and some really tasty appetizers.
You’ll also find countless bottles of white wine, red wine, and a whole selection of specialty craft cocktails made by their master mixologists. Definitely don’t wait to give Infinity Lounge a try on your next night out.
Fox & Hounds
4812 N Dixie Hwy, Oakland Park, FL 33334
Up next is Fox & Hounds British-American Pub that you can find over off of North Dixie Highway in the Central Business District of Ft. Lauderdale, so it’s right in the heart of the action.
When you come to Fox & Hounds, you’re going to love the atmosphere. The pub has a wonderfully charming British theme that will make you want to stay all night.
They also have dart boards and other bar games to keep their patrons entertained, as well as a hearty food menu for when you need something to accompany your cold pint of Guinness while you sit at the bar.
Village Well Pub
1023 SE 17th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
Right before the intersection of Southeast 10th Avenue and Florida State Road A1A is a delightful Fort Lauderdale bar called Village Well Pub and I cannot recommend this place enough for a casual night of drinks and pool. It’s even better if you’re staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton right nearby.
Village Well has that old-timey charm of an old Irish pub that’s warm and lively. The atmosphere here is always that of a good time.
What I really love about Village Well is that they offer a variety of incredibly delicious steaks that you can order, including a massive 22-ounce ribeye.
Rooftop @ 1WLO
1 W Las Olas Blvd #700, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Rooftop @1WLO is the next place I want to suggest for grabbing drinks when you’re in the area, especially if you want a beautiful view of Fort Lauderdale from high up on a rooftop patio. That’s right, you can enjoy a few drinks at this upscale rooftop bar with views of the city that are sure to impress.
I really admire the class and sophistication that Rooftop @1WLO presents both in the ambiance of the place as well as the quality of the drinks and service. When you combine these aspects, you’re left with an unparalleled experience.
YOLO (YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE)
333 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Just east of the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is another one of my favorite bars to visit on the weekends, YOLO. This place is conveniently located right off of East Las Olas Boulevard near the Riverside Hotel Fort Lauderdale.
YOLO is a full-service restaurant, but what really sticks out to me here is the bar. The bar is always where the fun is here at YOLO, so naturally it’s where I’d want to be.
If you enjoy martinis, then this is the place for you. YOLO offers a martini flight that comes with 3 martinis that you pick made with New Amsterdam vodka.
Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar
2266 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL 33305
Up next is Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar. This place has a unique name and provides an exciting experience. This place is an absolute fixture of Ft. Lauderdale and they’re known for their strong drinks in a fun, festive atmosphere.
I enjoy having the option to sit outside while I have a few drinks and Georgie’s has the perfect patio for that, and it’s even covered so you can get some fresh air rain or shine.
You can check out Georgie’s off of Wilton Drive near the Wilton Manors neighborhood, right inside the Shoppes of Wilton Manors.
299 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Right inside The Dalmar, Fort Lauderdale, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is a place called Sparrow that has quickly become one of my favorite places to get drinks in the city. I really love to come here after work on a Friday and unwind.
Sparrow is a hip, stylish bar that provides great views of Fort Lauderdale from high up in the hotel, boasting an impressive selection of liquor, beer, and wine. Not to mention, the service is amazing and the bartenders truly impressed me with their knowledge. Be sure to check them out for their amazing happy hour deals as well.
4:30 Boardroom Bar
3343 NE 32nd St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
Next up on my list is 4:30 Boardroom Bar, and I really think everyone is going to love this place when it’s time to go grab drinks.
This bar is located near the Lauderdale Beach neighborhood, so it’s just minutes away from the beautiful shores of the Atlantic Ocean, perfect for a walk on the beach after a couple drinks.
My favorite part about 4:30 Boardroom Bar is that every Tuesday is taco Tuesday! Come to 4:30 Boardroom Bar on Tuesdays for $2 tacos and some delicious drinks. What’s not to love about that?
901 Progresso Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
The next place I want to mention has one of the coolest names for a bar that I have ever come across: Laser Wolf.
Laser Wolf is a cozy, artsy bar you can find in the Flagler Village neighborhood, just west of Holiday Park and The Parker performing arts theater, so it’s a great place to spot before or after seeing a show nearby.
If you’re a lover of craft beers, then you will appreciate the selection here at Laser Wolf. They serve a wide variety of craft beers on tap, as well as countless more in cans.
Rhythm & Vine
401 NE 5th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Next up is Rhythm & Vine and this place really blew me away the first time I went there. This place is incredible the way it’s decorated and just the overall vibe is one of fun and good times.
Rhythm & Vine has a spacious outdoor area covered in astroturf and full of couches and chairs to relax on, so if you’re in need of some fresh air and some down time, this is the place for you.
I highly recommend trying one of their specialty cocktails here at Rhythm & Vine. My favorite one was the Garden Mule made with Ketel One vodka, cucumber, blackberry, lime, mint, and ginger beer.
701 E Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
The Wilder is a unique and classy bar that you can find off of East Broward Boulevard directly in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. This bar is unique in that it has 3 different lounge rooms to hang out in, including a beautiful outdoor terrace.
They have a list of “Adventurous Cocktails” that you can choose from, each one hand-crafted by their experienced bartenders. My personal favorite was called Bloom. Since I visited over the summer, all of their cocktails were summer-themed. The Bloom was made with gin, creme de flora, jasmine honey, and rose.
111-A SW 2nd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Right off of Southwest 2nd Avenue near the Museum of Discovery and Science and Revolution Live music venue is a place called Booze Garden that I feel everyone should check out when they want to go out for drinks in Fort Lauderdale.
What I love about Booze Garden is that they have all of these old-school, arcade-style video games to play while you hang out, plus a popcorn machine! There’s really no shortage of entertainment here at Booze Garden. Don’t forget to ask about all of the craft beers available when you stop in as well.
241 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
You’ll find this next bar, Elbo Room, located all the way at the end of East Las Olas Boulevard on the corner of Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, right on the sandy shores of Las Olas Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole state of Florida, if you ask me.
Elbo Room is a fun beach bar that will make you feel like you’re in Key West where it’s always 5 o’clock. What I love about Elbo Room is that they have live bands and DJs performing all the time, and during spring break this place becomes an absolute madhouse of fun.
McSorley’s Beach Pub
837 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
This next place is called McSorley’s Beach Pub and they are located over on North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, right next to the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel and just around the corner from the gorgeous Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
McSorley’s is a must-visit bar for anyone in the area, especially if you’re enjoying a day at the beach across the street. They’ve got a whole food menu featuring sandwiches and other comforting bar foods, as well as plenty of cold drinks to help beat that famous Florida heat. Definitely check them out if you get a chance!
2432 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
Up next is a bar that you can find inside The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, one of the most luxurious and popular shopping malls in the city, so while you’re out on a shopping spree, you might want to stop by for a little something to wet your whistle and a bite to eat.
I love Blue Martini for both its convenient location and the daily live music show that they have. Not to mention, the drinks are superb and their food menu consists of a tapas selection influenced by cultures from around the globe. This bar is definitely one to add to your checklist.
Blondies Sports Bar
229 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
Last, but not least, is Blondies Sports Bar, a must-visit place for drinks in Fort Lauderdale that anyone visiting the area should stop in at. Blondies is located on South Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard near the Fort Lauderdale Beach View Point.
They offer classic bar food and lots of delicious, refreshing drinks to choose from here at Blondies. I always go for an order of either the cheese fries or the jalapeno poppers to go with a nice, cold beer. They also boast a full liquor bar and great deals on buckets of beer as well for when you’re in a big group.
Fort Lauderdale has just as many nice bars to visit as it does restaurants, almost. There’s no shortage of awesome places to go for drinks in the city, regardless of what kind of atmosphere or experience you’re looking for. There’s something for everyone here and hopefully my list helps find you the perfect place to have fun.
If you’re more interested in Fort Lauderdale’s greatest places to eat instead, I’ve got the perfect guide for that as well!
