Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Baton Rouge was named after Ruth Fertel, the original owner. The French-influenced steaks are cooked on a searing hot hickory-fired grill and served to perfection with their classic signature steakhouse butter. They have a dedicated private event team to handle catering, corporate events, and virtual events. You will also have access to a private event menu. This location is easily accessible off Route 10 and surrounded by three 4-star hotels in the MidCity South area. If you aren’t into steak, don’t worry! They also serve amazing seafood options like their Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes served with chipotle mayo, seafood pasta dishes like the Lobster Fettuccine Alfredo, and a selection of fresh salads. For dessert, I highly recommend the Chocolate Sin Cake.

Stab’s Prime Steak and Seafood features USDA prime steaks that are hand-cut in-house daily and grilled to perfection, along with the freshest seafood. I am a fan of the Sea Bass entree that comes with asparagus and seafood gumbo. When I want a steak, I must come here for the Cajun-rubbed Prime New York Strip – it melts in my mouth every time! I love booking this place for private events. They can seat as many as 42 guests or serve hors d’oeuvre. to 65 people. I have been here for two great Christmas parties so far. It is easy to find in the busy Mid-City South area – across from Whole Foods. Stab’s offers a wide variety of amazing desserts like Bananas Foster and my favorite – White Chocolate Bread Pudding, which is made in-house daily.

The décor is sleek and stylish with dark wood tones and rich fabrics. I indulge in their cheesesteak egg rolls or spicy shrimp egg rolls at happy hour. The iceberg wedge is a crisp simple salad that I enjoy here as well. Hop off interstate 10 and come here for lunch, happy hour, or a private event in the Mid-City South neighborhood.

Doe’s Eat Place is a Baton Rouge institution that opened in 1941. There is usually a line out the door, but it moves quickly. The specialty here is their steaks and burgers, which are cooked on a flaming grill. Doe’s is known for their tamales, which are quite tasty – you should try some. I recommend a juicy T-bone or their Grilled Steak Salad. The fried oysters are my favorite starter – I enjoy a bunch with a glass of wine. I love coming here for the cozy and informal atmosphere. Find the place near the Beer Garden. The restaurant can take reservations for up to 20 people if you want to plan a gathering here.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar has something for everyone. They serve USDA prime beef, chops, and seafood. You can even find vegetarian options on the menu like my favorite – Chickpea & Eggplant Croquette. The chocolate lava cake is a must if you have a sweet tooth. I love their bone-in ribeye – it is cooked to perfection. I love going there with a friend or a date on Tomahawk Tuesday – a three-course $135 dinner for two people. Not only do they provide catering for your location, but you can also utilize one of the restaurant’s private spaces or buy out the restaurant for the night. Find Fleming’s near the Bocage Village Shopping Center mall in the north part of Baton Rouge. It is a great place for a date night or special occasion.

Enjoy all types of wood charcoal-cooked meat, salad, and sides at this Brazilian steakhouse. The family-owned restaurant started in Porto Alegre, Brazil. If you are hosting an event with at least 45 people, their catering menu will satisfy everyone. Catering comes with staff who will set up and serve for you. Of course, you can also host a party of 15 or more at the restaurant. I would prefer to host at this fun eatery! The décor is fun and festive with bright colors and bold patterns. The salad bar is huge and has everything from cheese and cured meats to desserts. The meat is cooked over a wood-fired grill and is sliced right in front of you. I love the Brazilian sausage and leg of lamb. Sharing some braised beef ribs with my friends is great too. You can find Texas de Brazil near the Perkins Rowe shopping center. It is a great place to go for a unique dining experience.

There are so many delicious options like their daily soup specials. As a fan of Italian food, Raffaele’s Old World Lasagna is my guilty pleasure – the chef uses three cheeses and fennel sausage. Sampling drinks from the extensive wine and cocktail menu is one of my favorite reasons for coming. You can find J. Alexander’s near the Apple Mall of Louisiana. It is perfect for a date night or special occasion. Call the restaurant for reservations when you have a party of 5 or more people.

Sometimes, I stuff myself with their complimentary homemade hot buns that are drizzled with cinnamon butter – these are to die for! For my entree, I love their tender and flavorful fall-off-the-bone ribs or country-fried chicken. They also have a variety of sides like mashed potatoes, steak fries, baked beans, and green beans – all made from scratch! The restaurant has a casual vibe to bring the family. I have been here for a couple of laidback birthday dinners. It is always busy and reservations are recommended for parties of 5 or more people. You can find Texas Roadhouse near the Walmart Supercenter on North Mall Drive. It is a great place for a fun family dinner.

For those who love meat, they also have a wide selection of steaks and chops – my favorite is the Filet Mignon. I often skip the steak and go for the Duck and Andouille Eggrolls or the mouthwatering Crawfish Beignets. I love coming here whenever I am downtown. I love their upstairs bar area that offers a great view of downtown Baton Rouge. The restaurant is perfect for a romantic night out or special occasion. You can find Stroubes Seafood and Steaks near the River Center Convention Center. It is a great place for a private event of up to 45 people.

It is made with freshly ground beef and smothered with sautéed onions, grilled mushrooms, and savory garlic herb sauce. It does not stay on my plate very long. I also recommend the loaded baked potato and the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese. Order the strawberry shortcake to share with a friend – you won’t regret it! You can find Longhorn Steakhouse near the Walmart Supercenter on Bluebonnet Boulevard. Sometimes the place gets busy, so you may need to get on the waitlist for dining.

Central City Steak and Seafood is my go-to spot for chicken parmesan fries – I have never seen such a menu item elsewhere. The Touchdown has also become a favorite item of mine. It is a grilled and sliced smoked or hot sausage with three melted cheeses, pickles, and mustard – delicious and simple. If you are around on Thursdays, don’t miss the Steak Night Thursday Special. It consists of yummy ribeye, shrimp, and a baked potato. You can find Central City Steak and Seafood near the Mall of Louisiana. It’s a casual spot where you can also catch the game on one of the big TVs. They take reservations if you want a guaranteed space for a group.

My go-to choice is always the Country Fried Steak and homemade soup. Don’t get me started on the drinks…the Grilled Pineapple Margarita has become my Happy Hour favorite! You can find Saltgrass Steakhouse near the Cortana Mall. There are Banquet Rooms available for parties, groups, meetings, and special events. The restaurant will customize them for any occasion. Have your event in a private room or spacious patio.

I often go for the carved bone-in turkey, I mean why wait for Thanksgiving? Golden Corral Buffet is located in the Walmart shopping center on Greens Boulevard. It’s a great place to go with family and friends. Host a personal or corporate event in the banquet room – for free!
